whitney and mariah's voice had weakened in time. our generation can attest to it. but celine's voice did not. she just recently sang her iconic my heart will go on live. her crystal clear voice up is just amazing until today, although she became thin.
Omg, at this time I was a full-time professional singer, and managed to see this when it aired. I truly felt I was witnessing a superstar in the making. What a voice, and person she is to this day!
That’s so cool!! I didn’t find an appreciation for Celine until Rene died. After that I learned so much about Celine, her career, and her passion for her family and for life. I’ve become a true fan and even took my 83 year old father to Vegas in December ‘18. It was truly amazing. Front row seats to an extraordinary experience.

Outstanding - she nails every note just like the studio recording without any fear. None of that melisma bullshit that certain female divas use as a crutch for their substandard live performances.
she uses melisma several times throughout this performance, including at 3:51 instead of holding the note like the original. melisma is just as much a vocal skill as holding a note.
So hard to watch this... She was so beautiful, young, happy and her voice was so strong. But when her husband has passed away she such died inside... Poor Celine(( She was so fantastic!!!
An amazing performance. I must say though that with 3 performances of this song on this show I can't help but to wish one of them would've been "Unison" instead.
I know what you are saying but I don’t think she’s overly dramatic. It was actually very interesting to see in these first videos, she has smaller movements, but it’s clear, especially with the extra runs she adds in that come from pure emotion, so do the hand motions. You can also tell she’s nervous during the interview part but today’s interviews are just more polished, her humor and her own excitement about what’s happening with her career is just like her now. So what I love the most about this…with ALL the aforementioned, she hasn’t changed at all. Tells me she is the true humble, down to earth, humorous person she shows herself to be still today, or when she last performed. I also think it’s funny when she’ll have a vocal run in a song live, that comes out more sensational as expected, you can see she is just as surprised and tickled with it as we all are.
