Not much to say on this one. One of the all-time classic ballads performed by one of the all-time greatest female artists. Doesn't get much better, really.

You should really hear Celine Dion sing opera! She is fantastic when paired with the phenomenal Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli doing the song "The Prayer." You have heard Andrea Bocelli sing with Sarah Brightman - (I have just finished watching that reaction to see if you had done it) - but you have only heard the COVER of "The Prayer" by a truly outstanding singer as well - Marcelito Pomoy. (I haven't watched your reaction to that one yet, but I will be doing so soon.) Marcelito is awe inspiring in EXACTLY how the word "awe" was meant - however, while he nailed Andrea's & Celine's voices, I think it was just a little too much for him to also be able to nail the warmth in their voices when they sing this song. I hope that you will do yourself the favour by reacting to Andrea Bocelli & Celine Dion singing "The Prayer". (After Andrea's 2 performances I have mentioned here - which were so good that they were both played on pop/rock music stations A LOT in the 90s - I bought opera music FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE! It was Andrea's with both of these songs on it & none of the rest of the CD disappointed either. I have never liked any other professional opera singer but Andrea Bocelli, but if Celine Dion or Sarah Brightman - a famous UK stage actress - put out an opera CD, I would be adding them to my collection [of now a NUMBER of Andrea Bocelli CDs]) Take care, all the best & love from Canada. ♥

Spanish version All by Myself was one of Dion’s biggest hits in the United States and peaked at number one on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart, remaining there for three weeks. [12] On the Billboard Hot 100 the song ranked fourth while occupying number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay. [13][14] The single peaked at number seven on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40. [15]

Eric Carmen from the Raspberries (who you reacted to singing Go All The Way to on a stream) composed and sang this in the 70s when he was about 24.. It went to #1. He just passed away a couple weeks or so ago. Too bad this wasn't his original version. Celine Dion has a great voice, just not my thing.

Honestly. Eric Carmen died two weeks ago today. The man who composed this song and took it to #1 in late '75. RIP Eric. You won't ever get respect from some fronts.
