Never heard this song until about 10minutes ago, it's 1AM in the morning of the 12th of October 2022!!! The song is timely for me in this moment, many would try to guess who is the man, but the Man for me is the Man Christ Jesus the Saviour of my Soul!!! In the midst of my pain and turmoil he is the Man that is needed here, for now and for forever Amen Thank you Lord for your Mercy and Grace!!!! He suffered, died, and He Lives for us all!!! Glory be to the Godhead Forever and Forever!!!

Me either, but as I was getting understand English better and better the lyrics became suspicious. I thought before that this might be Jesus, but like I said I didn't understand the language enough to figure out the hints.
As a child I didn't I jus love the song but as I got older in my early twenties I figured it out I only loved the song even more..I play it when I lose a loved one...or when my heart is heavy
Call The Man" Close the door Shut the world away All the fight's gone from this wounded heart Across the floor Dreams and shadows play Like wind blown refugees Call the man Who deals in love beyond repair He can heal the world Of hearts in need of care Shine a light ahead When the next step is unclear Call the man He's needed here I close my eyes I remember when Your sweet love filled this empty room The tears I cry Won't bring it back again Unless the lonely star should fall Call the man Who deals in love beyond repair He can heal the world Of hearts in need of care Shine a light ahead When the next step is unclear Call the man He's needed here Needed in the chaos and confusion From the plains to city hall Needed where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall Call the man Who deals in once upon a time Maybe he Can mend this broken heart of mine Shine a light ahead Now the future isn't clear Call the man He's needed here Call the man He's needed here He's needed here He's needed here Call the man He's needed here Right here right now
Very touching! I cry every time I listen to this song😢 CALL THE MAN! It seems the man she is calling out is Jesus to shine the light that can heal the world and mend the broken hearts beyond repair, the loss of a loved one.😢💔
Can't stop listening this song,I just keep playing it over and over again, it's such a beautiful song and as usual, Celine Dion delivers with such grace

This song just happened to be on the radio in my car during a near fatal accident when I was hit broadside by a semi whom the driver was drunk. It stayed with me. In 2011, my best friend performed this song for my mother's funeral, bringing over 625 people to tears and some to their knees. I've crawled through hell and called to the Heavens... I just have to hear this song, keep the faith and push forward with the knowledge it will get easier with time. This song.... My anthem.
Already in tears because I lost my half of my heart 3 months ago your writing while this song is playing comes in s t r o n g l y! Stay strong as well🙏🌟🎄

Only God can give us unconditional love. He will not leave us with a broken heart 100% for sure. I love You Lord! The reason why He is my first & last love...
Rosalie C. ya thats why your lord leaves millions of woman, kids and men die every day and pain and suffering is the norm in his world.. fuck him, he does not exist to me.
This song was one of my mom's favourite every time she felt scared, confused, lost and didn't understand what life was throwing at her she would play it..Me and my sister's would instantly know that her heart was aching #RIP MOM
There have been many great female vocalists over the years .... certainly the likes of Whitney Houston , and Judith Durham of the Seekers, to name but two .... but Celine is certainly in that esteemed company , she has a fantastic voice , and she sounds so good in concert too.
This song is so emotional, so soulful, so beautifully composed! Where would we be without quality music like these ?? I am sure many persons found peace right here
Call the man, it seems the man she is calling out for is God, to shine the light that can heal the world and mend broken hearts beyond repair, the loss of a loved one.
@ALEXIS left his glorious throne to sacrifice himself in order to give us a chance to live again. to save us from the wages of our sin. despite knowing that not many of us will accept i.e people like you, and yet he still did it, because you are worth being saved. you are worth more than diamonds and emeralds to his heart, so he willingly laid his own life so you wouldn't have to pass through such pains. If that isn't love, tell me.
Beautiful song ...helped me release the agony inside whilst going through a very bad time in my life again in 1999. Her beautiful voice and the lyrics touched and broke a seal on a world of pain I'd bottled up inside and that was literally killing me. This song and, If thats What it Takes, broke me apart and let me start healing and pull my life together. I remember it like a mantra ,I played that tape a friend gave me to death. She has a real gift of empathy in her voice and her songwriters are genius. Salvation comes in mysterious ways.
It's taken nearly 40 years for me to post this. My darling young husband died on 11th November, 1975 - Remembrance Day - Rosemary for Remembrance. Later in the day, my youbgest brother took me back to our apartment to gather up clothing and things I would need for our baby, we would be staying with my parents. Our darling neighbours had been inside and tidied everything. The bed where Ken died was neatly made and his blue dressing gown was laid neatly on the bed. I sat there holding it and howled my eyes out, the first time I had cried that day. I could hear Chris (my brother) crying in the kitchen. When this song was released, I howled again..... how did she know how I felt, how did she get that sense of loss? Now I remember it for the victims of 9/11.
To me it seems like it could be spiritual or romantic, it all depends on the lisner and what they are going through and how they interpret it.... Yes, she could be talking about GOD!!!!!
2024 I'm today's yrs old to know the Man is our loving GOD. I really needed to hear this today, thanks alt Celine. May the MAN heal you and get u back to ur good health and strength, Amen
@@vpxuk I understand your stance on religion. The bloodiest ever regime that killed 10 times more people than the Nazis and any other religious war was the Religiousless Atheist Regime of Lenin and Stalin. When Humans don't kill in the name of religion, they do it in the name of something else like democracy, capitalism, patriotism, nationalism, racism. I hope you see that Religion is not the problem. Humans are.
