She is out of this word, after having delivered almost 5 minutes of powerful belting, she hits an incredible G#5 run followed by an insane 14 seconds long note and a final G#5. Enviroment is amazing and her stage presence is unmatched. #legend#

It's true that her final note is 14 seconds, but overall she held her breath for 16 seconds, starting from the part "I surrender baby....". (at 5:36 and ending at 5:52). Truly phenomenal!

Probably the best female vocalist on at least the last 30 years if not more. She has such control of her instrument and conveys the emotion and feeling of all her songs so well. I recommend reacting to River Deep, Mountain High from the same concert. The whole performance and staging/lighting etc. is amazing.

There are other performances of this song during A New Day (the last long note at the end) where she really belting the long note longer than on the DVD that we are watching now.

Bradley Arnault i think her shortest one (ending part) was during the year of 2003-2004? Her early shows. The longest notes she ever did was in the year of 2007 (last year of the residency)

Great reaction! Personally I think the performance from May 22nd 2018 was even better! She had just come off of hiatus because of an inner ear surgery that she had a couple months earlier. At the beginning you could hear that she was nervous but as soon as the band came in she just let go and all you can say is WOW!!! It sounds more raw and 100% live to me! This performance sounds a little auto-tuned to me, which is a complete sin!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you have a voice like hers there's no need for auto-tune!!!

I'm going to be very honest Dereck. Before to subscribe, I have to see the way the person react and I like the way you do it. There are some who cut the song 10 times to comment and I hate that. I love the way you analyze songs as much vocally as what they mean, so after six songs I subscribed. I'm also a Céline fan I'm a French Canadian and I saw her when she did her first TV appearance. I also have her first France TV appearance.

This is justthe complete performance. So amazing, Aside from Celine's powerful performance, one thing I always notice in this live clip is the guy in the video (4:34 of your recation video) His eyes are just so stunning....

Great reaction! Try more recent videos, you will be blown. Watch videos from her 2017, 2018 and 2020 Courage Tour. Type “The Reason” - live 2017 in Leeds, her version of “Purple Rain” in Vegas, “Think Twice” in Vegas (I’ve seen you reacted to her ‘95 version - watch this version 27 years later 100% live), her version of “The show must go on” and “Love of my Life” in 2017, and also 2019 live of “Lying Down” in Columbus (new song from the new album). I actually think there is a video where you have both songs in Columbus: “Lying Down” and “The Reason” both 100% live, and “All By Myself” in any of the last 3 years. She is still at 52 an amazing singer.

First, please don't get me wrong... I am her number one fan... I followed her since 2007, so I know when she was lipsync... So she was doing lipsynk 00.00 - 04.00... The rest of them were live... You can hear the quality of her vocal change at 04.01... How did I know she was lips??? At 02:50, she was going to hit a belting note, but her neck position make it imposible of doing that... Everytime Celine doing live performances and about to hit some belting notes, she will lift up her head... At the 3:19 she was doing chest punching, and you hear nothing waving or change in her voice.... You can see that her mic's tehcnic is changing from 04.00 when she starts singing live...

This was recorded for the 2007 Live in Vegas DVD, I am sure they made sure she was singing live. Secondly, when ahe hits her chest, you can hear “slap” that is her microphone picking up the smack = live. If you go to her concerts, you will see she does this chest pumping quite often, but her voice never changes or shakes. Watch Carpool Karaoke with James Corden and you will see what I mean.. this was 100% live. When she hits a high note she bends her head down actually. I would say watch more of her luve performances.
