Did you lose some gold the amount is very low 4.5 kg =0.5 grams. I think i waste my time collecting phone boards.

I think you lost some gold because you heated the aqua regia and did not cover the surface of the beaker to prevent the fumes from escaping. The fumes used to escape with some gold at times. Heating aqua regia is sometimes not necessary unless the acids are dilute or when you are dissolving gold bars or metals in my experience.

If you use the appropriate amount of hydrogen peroxide, gold will not dissolve in it, and the hidden gold in the soldering will be released and settle as gold dust at the bottom of the solution. As you can see, the brown powder in the paper filter is gold dust that has not dissolved in the solution.

Just use peroxide until copper goes into solution. (Hcl needs help for copper at start) AP should go black on you. That's what you want. When the material clumps at the bottom from cementing or acid salts, then just filter floating foils. Then add water and hcl and get it to dark again. (Add alittle dark ap to jump start if needed) My favorite trick is rinsing the filter with hcl before using water. You can see blue and green chlorides form when you bring ph up with water rinse. Those will be gone from a quick hcl rinse around the filter. Then, use water for a nice filter of foils that you can spray off into a beaker easily.
