Nah man, the second i see a song that has Ft. Fabvl for Divide i already know it will top tier. Their combination is insane. I loved this song so much, and loved your reaction. And please man. Stop killing the pillow he has seen enough.
I see this song as the embodiment of Cell's arrogance. From the moment he became perfect, he knew there wasn't anyone that could match him. The screaming vocals symbolize what he feels when he finally fights strong opponents. He's thrilled that he can test his power against what he sees as punching bags that hit back. It goes on to Fabvl's section showing the rage and anger he felt at Goku, and Gohan. He loses his perfect form all because of a child. He assumes now that he won't be perfect and his rage explodes (literally). It goes back to Divide's section as he realizes that he's back to his perfect form and stronger than ever. His arrogance comes back full force only for it to end in his death at the hands of Gohan. The last scream is Cell angry at the z fighters for putting an end to the game of fear that he played so well until that point. Of course this is just my opinion on this song, and I just enjoy how well Divide captures the vibe of the character in question.
That feeling of non completeness on the *Dunna duna duna duna, Dun dun duh’s* is because it’s what’s called an Inverted melodic Nintendo Arpeggio. It does the standard Rise fall rise but inverts it backwards so it’s Rise rise fall rise fall rise. It registers in our brains as a interupted sentence almost. It’s like if I start talking to you and then suddenly Cut myself off and then expected you to “understand” the words after. Your brains left trying to fill in the conclusion but there’s so many “variations” to the end of the musical sentence that your brain gets confused and it invokes emotion rather than logic. (This is the best way I can think to explain that.)
When i tell you this song had me shook all the way through, Divide and Fabvl are a nasty duo I had about the same reaction when the countdown started, wasn't ready for when it hit 0
Cell is by far my favorite DBZ villain. This insane use of base guitar and double time drums breaks boundaries. Not to mention the masterful use of strings in the background making the song feel very orchestral and high up when they aren't bringing it low and deep with Fabvl's screams riding that bass. I think its worthy of the title Perfection.
Divide and Fabvl made me ugly face 5 straight times in a row when I played this masterpiece! Their chemistry in this metal shit is unmatched and I'm SOOOOOOO GLAD that the Nerdcore scene focuses mostly on rap more than other genres because it REALLY makes these two shine a lot more when they drop it. I know Sinewave Fox does too but I'm not too familiar with his work outside of features.
This is my favourite video hands down!!!! Not even the song but your reaction half way thru is amazing!!! And I had to laugh when u said abt people skipping abt 10mins in and I was like NO IM STILL HERE DAVE!!
My theory why synth fits with him is because we all know in the back of our mind that hes a robot and was created so hearing synth with him puts how cold and calculated into prospective with everything.
This song is one of my knew favorite songs pf all time. Thats a bog feat for me. I will listen to songs and say i really like it and ill listen to it over and over, but when I tell you the inly reason im nkt metal growling and singing along with this,is because i got neighbors and its very early in the morning. I've stopped multiple videos now just to go back and listen to the song a few mkre times before i found this video.
Lowkey though... I still believe that Majin Buu is just that guy though... but Cell was a different kind of charisma, I understand why his perfect form was memorable but to me his first form was definetly the most terrifying specially when entire cities were going ghost all of a sudden and you couldn't find him because he was an Android was also part of why he was annoying to deal with.
Well a lot of the filler and fluff is removed which is nice. But I prefer the American background music and Kai got censored a bit. Those are my only two gripes with DBZ Kai.
Imma keep it a buck. I clicked off the song vid after that initial bit of the song, I just don't vibe with the screaming like that. I had the same problem with the Belmont song.
