Kenshiro's fighting style is all about hitting your enemy's pressure points to cause ridiculous carnage.

This takes place the week leading up to the Cell Games, in Universe.

Yu Yu Hakusho and Fist of the North Star are practically required watching for anime fans. It's amazing. The guy who created Hunter X Hunter also did Yu Yu Hakusho so you'll see some similarities.

Yes, Kenshiro is that badass. It is from the 80s so the animation is hit and miss and there are a lot of long scenic shots/scenes but well worth the watch.

Fist of the North Star is so good man. The anime has aged a lil bit, but the manga holds up amazingly. Highly recommend it.

Just a head's up, even if only for yourself, you might consider watching Devil Artemis' works after DBZA is over. He took the Cell Games concept introduced here and made a whole channel based on it. He even got big enough that TFS has been relying on him to animate their latest additions to the DBZA narrative, about the DBZ villains down in HFIL

11:10 He is basically Jesus, Mad Max, Stallone and Bruce Lee fused. He can oneshot almost everyone besides Nanto Seiken and Hokuto Shinken masters (who can put up a fight). He have other three brothers with the same technique: Toki - Literal buff Jesus but with câncer Raoh - A giant buff badass ruler of a apocalyptical land. Geki/Jaki (I can't remember his name) - Who is basically a buff Shinji Matou from Fate.

If you love these, then you'll love devil artemis's cell vs videos. There's so many of them to watch though, it's going to take you a long while to get through them.

Watch Hellsing abridged once you're done with DBZA. Its just as good IMO. Especially if you like Cell's voice and vibe

Yu Yu Hakusho is absolutely goated btw and you 1000% need to watch it at some point, even if you don’t do reactions to it. And make sure to watch it in dub, it’s one of the few dubs like FMAB that are universally recommended because the comedy is just unbeatable in the dub lol

As for watching Fist of the North Star: Imagine Mad Max, played by Bruce Lee, but way bloodier. Kenshiro is the original badass anime MC. Fist of the North Star is dated, but still fucking awesome.

Yeah, Kenshiro of Fist of the North Star is kinda ridiculously over-powered. His super-special martial arts is basically like the proto-sharingan, where it can basically do whatever the plot needs it to do. It’s dumb fun, played so seriously that it goes back around to being hilarious again.

Yeah, Fist of the Northstar was basically just Ken punching people and them exploding 10 seconds later. It's up there as one of the greatest WTF shows ever.

6:30 This is refence to SF3: 3rd strike. It's Ken theme and Ken did his super, but Cell parry each hit. It's main mechanic in SF3 when you can parry literally every attack if this is no yhrow and take no damage

Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star is one of the ur examples of the badass martial arts anime. It's a bunch of barrel chested guys with ridiculous powers in post-apocalypse-land, shouting the name of their super-ultra-mega techniques in fights to the death. The blood is toned down in the anime, but Kenshiro (the main character) knows an assassin martial art that's all about pressure points, so he taps you in certain spots and your head explodes or something, and that's not a metaphor; dude blows up heads. It's, like, his go-to move.

Willem Dafoe played Ryuk in the live action Death Note so that was a fun (and disturbing) reference to that.

Yugi has his own abridged series you should watch it.

Yu yu hakusho may be an oldie but it was great. He said genkai as he left. Genkai was the name of his tutor. This concept of cell games videos is great. I love them. P.s fist of the north star utilises hitting pressure points to make the enemy explode.
