Here are my best tips on what to do when you hit a plateau in your cello journey. I personally have experienced a number of plateaus, ranging from weeks to months long, and I want to share what I've learned with you because they can be frustrating and discouraging.

Love these tips. I tend to get in my head and get frustrated about plateaus, which in turn frustrates me more. What calms me down is thinking of it as a journey up a mountain. When there's a landing/plataeu, I stop and enjoy the scenery and look back at all I've accomplished so far. That frustration and feeling of being stuck slowly melts away.

Hello, I need your help , can I ask you a favour ( as a left-hander)can you play your cello on your right shoulder with your with hand in minus 1st position on the C string and tell me if it touches the pegs please. I cannot play the tradition way and want to know befrore I purchase.I stop violin ( traditional) at grade 6 ad want to take up cello. Thank you.

Im starting Cello again. I finally understand shifting. lol. it only took like 8 yrs of off & on playing. And I just started Suzuki book 3 FINALLY!!! I have a teacher but she only teaches Suzuki and doesnt do any scale work or anything. Just teaches songs out of Suzuki. A good teacher is expensive.

Hit a plateau in as much as I've tried first time bow technique about 9 wks ago (via your first lesson). First time out of cello case. Cello still back in the case Oh Billy 🙄
