I show my 3rd and 4th grade students this video every year when we do our unit on instrument families of the orchestra. They always die laughing when Vader comes in with the accordion!! Such a great video to get kids interested in string instruments!
Ironically, one of the reasons Steven wanted to do this song was to encourage his own son-who is a Star Wars fan-to become more interested in cello. Unfortunately, his son was much more interested in accordion after this.
My Elementary Teacher did the same thing! Unfortunately 7 years later and these videos are the only thing I remember from the class, but hey! At least I'm still interested in music!

This has to be one of the best, most creative and powerful covers and homages I've listened to. I love how they blend several key Star Wars melodies into a cohesive whole. The flow of Duel of the Fates into the Force theme is particularly brilliant. Love it.

Just telling u that cello is something very different. U cant make those sounds whit cello. Cello is much more louder. And going to the 4th position in cellos touchpad is very difficult and u must learn at least 6 years cello to practise this. I have played cello for 8 years and im now 12 years.

My students are asking for a Part 2, as well. Maybe with Baby Yoda, since that's all they talk about. I'm a music teacher. This video is awesome. I use it to teach instrumentation, strings family, percussion family, timbre, duration, high and low sounds, and so many other foundational music concepts. I took Cello lessons starting in elementary school. I have shared this video with my friends. My life controlled by the Piano Guys would not be a bad thing.
I remember back in elementary school 3rd grade to be exact, my music teacher showed me this video. A decade later, I'm just fascinated by what these guys can make, thank you Pianoguys.

Ben Pocklington I totally agree. I have been listening to The Cello Song for months now played by TPG, I just never listened or looked at their channel until this morning and played all of their music. Brilliant in my Guinness voice.
