None of these worked for me until.....I turned my VPN off and magically everything loaded and refreshed etc....this was AFTER I reset netowrk settings, ejected the SIM, factory reset my phone entirely and then threw it against a wall 15x.
You guys are the greatest. My wife’s and my iPhone both went down at the same time. Could not make or receive calls. Watched this video, did the reset thing, just carrier portion, and, boom we had service back. Weird that both of our phones went down. We are on my sons plan and his other phones were fine! Thank you for the fix.
You guys saved the day for me as well. I noticed that I was getting "some" data, but not all data. I would be able to get mail, but using Uber, or using my browser was a bridge too far. I was stuck at a doctor's office for about an hour until someone gave me a wifi password. Anyhow, the carrier profiles was what worked for me. Once I deleted the one for cellular service the internet just started working like magic. Many thanks!
Thanks so much! I just came back from the UK and my data wasn’t working. Spent hours on the phone with Verizon without a solution. Your tip #6 saved me! I just needed to delete the UK data profile. Super helpful!!
I wanted to say thank you to you for helping me cuz my phone wasn’t loading a video so I just checked the comments for this video and your comment helped me check if I was connected to another country and it turns out I was so I turned it off and now my phone works again so thank you very much.
I was on call with t mobile tech support for an hour but then I decided to watch this video. In less than 1 minute my phone is working perfectly fine again. Fastest sub in my life :)
Thank you! Deleting the profile solved my problem! I spent HOURS over several days with tech support! They had me do everything you did except for the profile part. It was so easy once you showed it!
You guys have saved the day again. You’ve prevented many mini-meltdowns for me when my phone decides to go wonky. I always go straight to your channel now when I have a question or problem. Thank You!!!
You guys ROCK! You take time and you show step by step moves and explain why. Crazy how all the money I pay Verizon monthly and all of the money I spent for my latest Apple phone... they really don't know Sh** when there is an issue or do they, smdh. Hours on the phone and you guys solve the issue in less than 10 minutes.
Will resetting all settings on my iPhone erase everything on it? I’ve had a cellular data problem for a long time, and now it’s even worst because I can no longer receive phone calls or text messages. I also have an IPhone 7, and it will not update or show no update for me much of anymore, and even if there was an update it will not let me update my phone.
For me, physical SIM card cellular data stopped working with the iPad Pro 11 after updated to iOS 15.1. None of the mentioned methods worked, short from going to Apple or the phone network supplier. There was no profile to be deleted. The Cellular Data screen only shows a few Network names that is not local to here along with "Other..." for some network provider settings with provision to scan network provider QR code presumably for setting up the eSIM, as if the physical SIM wasn't even in the iPad. I have checked the old SIM cellular data still works on my other mobile devices. So no, taking the SIM out and put back into the iPad did not work either. What actually worked was I tried putting another SIM card which also has cellular data activated. It worked with the new SIM right away! And when I put back in the old SIM the iPad Pro asked for a Network Update soon as I put the SIM into the iPad, and cellular data works after the update! Other than that, even resetting Network Settings didn't. Go figure.
I had data roaming turned off for some reason, and yay turning it on resolved my problems ! I try to use wifi when possible but in those rare times, cellular is needed thanks guys!
I like how adamant they are that dealing with the Apple store should be the last thing on your list. I'm not saying it's that much different for other brands, but Apple prides themselves of being customer service minded.
Wow. Love you guys. I discovered you today in your video on saving data usage on your phone. I was able to do everything but turn off my Wifi Assist. I saw a random comment in my search suggesting turning on cellular data. So, I searched for a youtube video. Because I now subscribe to you, this video came up. Easy peasy ( Im 62 ) Sure enough, now my Wifi Assist is able to be turned off. Thanks again!!!
This video was great! I was desperate to figure out why my phone was having so many connectivity issues and by following your steps I was able to figure it out. Thank you so much!!!
The 7th step did it for me and it’s been about a week since I last used my data. I called t-mobile for so long and went to the store and I couldn’t find out the issue. Thank you for this video.
It seems like #6 finally worked for me. I had tried everything (restarting, airplane mode off/on, reset network settings, got a new iphone REALLY - i had an old one upgraded to iphone13) and #6 is the only one that has seemed to work so thank you thank you
You actually fixed my phone. From the get go my phones cell data never showed up. I just got a new one. Turns out the sim card was damaged, and I got a replacement.
Oh my god my data wasn't working for over a MONTH after my visit to Japan. After endless calls back and forth with my cellphone carrier who who couldn't figure out what was wrong, this video finally helped me conclude that it was my configuration profiles from my Japanese SIM that was messing with my cellular data. Thanks!!!
You guys are great. Simply tapping on LTE solved my connectivity issues. I had been having problems ever since I bought my new iPhone a year ago and it was set to 5G. Lately it had gotten so bad it left me stranded away from home unable to get an Uber. 👍
Thank you. I have had issues since Friday and AT&T did not help me after 2 hours on the phone. With your help I found out what was causing my issue of no data. 😊
Great advice! My mom had issues with her phone a few years ago which was a hand me down that I gave her. It turned out that she needed a new Sim card. How often should you replace the Sim card in your phone?
Hi Bros! Thanks so much. I am travelling overseas tomorrow and I could not connect to the internet. Was literally breaking out in a sweat. All is fixed. Thanks!
Good info, as always! You mentioned setting up a profile to use a different carrier when you went to Ireland. As a frequent traveler to Europe, what are the procedures to set this up? Thanks.
Thank you so much for this video. I've been dealing with issues for months and I'm on my third iPhone 12 now and haven't had luck since this video. I wish I would have known this sooner.
Thank you so very much for your easy to follow tips. I had to go to Reset Network Settings and it worked. I'm so glad to be a subscriber of your channel. I trust your advice.
Nothing worked for me. In the last 2 days, I have gone twice to my carrier (carrier candor and corporate office), called carriers tech support yesterday and today, I just left apple store. Not sure why I thought with googling a video on it would help! Nothing helped! I feel stuck with a $1000+ (payed cash) iPhone 14 pro because carrier sends me to apple and apple sends me to carrier!! Frustrating to say the least.
NO WAY, REMOVING A PROFILE MADE IT WORK?? my cellular for some reason suddenly stopped working at the most random time and I used my sim on another device but it worked, and when I turned on roaming it worked for a few seconds but not after that. I then went and removed a Nielsen mobile profile thing, and it now works. Thanks! And yeah I could do messages and calls but not use the internet.
You saved me a trip to Verizon! The last option finally worked, resetting my network settings. I have no clue what happened to my phone to not let me receive calls or make any calls, but thank you!!
LITERALLY AMAZING!! data been not working for months i even got a new phone but once i did step 7 it’s worked like perfect 🤩!! you guys are literally the best
You guys just saved me a massive headache. I was getting ready to factory reset my phone when I came across your video and to find out that it was something as simple as a character vpn profile keeping me from accessing the internet is insane. Thanks for the help.
Thank you SO much for this video!! It helped me SO much!!! Tip 9 was the Tip that ultimately fixed the issue for me!! Thank you so much and I hope you all have an amazing day!!
The 5G setting on my iPhone 12 would not allow Metro By T-Mobile data to pass thru for the past 6 months (I could only get data thru the LTE setting an even then it was shaky, slow an sometimes spotty) until I looked under "VPN & Device Management" an realized I had NORD VPN attached an even though the VPN was not connected it must have still caused the problem because as soon as I deleted it, switched the phone back to "5G AUTO" then hit volume up, volume down an held the power button till I seen the apple logo an it rebooted then 5G worked just fine. Before I watched this video I thought I had a manufacture defective phone caused by a faulty 5G antenna. Thank You for the help! I also enjoyed one of your previous videos about setting up an iPhone to get more out of your battery life!
I woke up today and my iPhone XE was on 1x instead of the usual 3G. I did some of the things suggested here and it started working after I did an update. But now it’s on LTE instead of 3G and I’m not sure how to turn it back but it’s working so I’m happy.
thank a lot i fix the problem i got with my iphone , the reset network was the problem i had on my iphone u were very competent explaining about the phone keep doing waht ever u doing , i already subcribe to your channel
Also consider the possibility that you may have a VPN that is blocking/slowing your network data. I was using Proton VPN and with all the trouble shooting I finally thought to delete it off my iphone12mini and it instantly fixed the problem. I was almost to the point of taking it into the shop when I thought of this. It was the difference between the push of a single button and an expensive phone "repair" charge. Just a suggestion to add this as a fix to an updated video at a later time.
Wow you guys are life savers. For me it was the VPN. Just so you know my phone company blamed my service company and I spent 2 days and they were all useless
Thank you. I called att last evening. My phone wouldn’t work unless it was on WiFi. Was on the phone for over 90 minutes and they said well we’ll open a ticket and look into it. Still didn’t work. Watched this video and working three minutes my phone is normal again. Mine was the vpn. It had xfinity listed as a WiFi. I removed it and all is well. I shouldn’t have called att first, no one there knows what they’re doing. Thank you!!!
You guys are so amazing. I was having trouble understanding how to fix data on my iPhone. Did a bunch of things like software update, reset settings, etc but no help. Finally. I knew I had to look if you guys had made a video. Luckily you had and you guys saved my day. Turns out a profile needed to be deleted. Thank you very very much :)
Your video is promising in that you may have the answer to my question based on the first few minutes. All of a sudden I have no cellular data and that “Cellular” circle is, as you called it, “gray”. What happened or what did I do wrong and how do I get it back please??
