i bought a small folding knife at hardware store was very cheap and next time will buy again weather is soft we do get wet snow again than still January and febuari final lens sit in place can t drive yet can use a knife and Monday dad slept in of dementia and infection in his leg here is a soldier in the idf for 11 years so skinny so weak but did t suffer slept in don t be a star fleet offcer with ooh am sorry klinfon never appoldges than next video be gigantic knife in to snowy wood ^ _ ^ over and later alberto

I purchased this knife a few years ago, and even lost it for a few months, but it finally turned up. Anyway I have used and beaten this knife to hell and back and it just keeps performing. The leather sheath that came with it is falling apart at this point and I have it held together with duct tape. A great knife, should give its user years of performance.

for the slightly smaller EDC version from CDS check out the AXARQUIA ..nicer jimping, edge closer to the handle, etc.

Nice to see a fairly high, efficient grind on a survival knife. Quite practical looking knife overall and about the right size in profile, though I'm not sold on the aggressive square jimping. The Spanish make some gems to be sure.

Have you looked into Oerla knives? I have owned 4 and have been impressed with the quality for such reasonably priced knives. The company is veteran owned and based in California.

If I understood correctly, this is a very basic stainless steel and I love basic stainless steels like 420 for example. Yeah I understand that the edge retention of basic stainless steels isn't great but that's their only disavantage. A basic stainless is great at toughness, corrosion resistance, gets a very sharp edge and it's very inexpensive. It's perfect aside from edge retention. I have a kitcheen knife made of some basic stainless steel and I split green coconuts in half with that and never even came close to break or rust after all the washing.

Yes indeed, people have compared it to 4116 Krupp or 440C. Much better heat treat than most though.

How does this compare with the boker savannha and it's N690 steel? I'm on the fence between the two but leaning a bit more towards this for the slightly longer blade length, and cheaper price.

I like some Bokers, but I would go with this CDS knife, because I prefer the construction on this, rather than how they do that bolster on the Boker.

With the Ti coating, it reminds me of some of the Camillus knives, but the angular handle looks a bit uncomfortable.

That is a super beauty and I checked the link and the price isn't that bad. It's like a medium priced knife and the least expensive of the three options listed. That definitely goes on the list. Did you ever see a knife made or designed by Eric Outer? He designed a knife that looks a lot like this one. He named it the TFK T17. His knife has some design features such as a longer handle option that aids in chopping that make it a very nice knife to own and use. Now that's an expensive knife from what I recall. I think the one I wanted, after all the extras added on, was about $350 or so. It's beyond my price range. The one in your video is do-able.
