I love that Brendan acknowledged that Calmac is a “level above”. Some fans take him for granted sometimes, we are so lucky he has chosen to stay and be a Celtic legend cos he could be a right good premiership midfielder on way more money. I hear fans saying Hatate or Kyogo or Jota previously is our best player but it is and has been Calmac for the last 5 years anyway. Appreciate what we have in our captain, leads by example and plays every week. 🔥☘️🙌

Imperfect Maeda was a terror for Rangers - they couldn't handle his speed.

I don't think that he has been close to his best this season but McGregor has run the game home and away against Rangers. Turned up in the two biggest domestic games of the season. I apply the exact same to Kyogo, he has been well off his best but done the business in the two games against rangers.

Bhoys being honest i was not confident going into this match today so over the moon with the three points , I just hope with some of the boys back from injury and hopfully a couple of signings in January this will kick us on hail hail ☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘☘

Spot on analysis- listening to some Rangers channels, most acknowledging that we have better quality in midfield and upfront and trying to get some solace from maybe getting something from the last 10 mins- this is completely ours to lose now, we need to improve squad now from a position of strength in the transfer window

A few of you owe Liam Scales an apology as he was outstanding again, best defender on the pitch by a Mile. Much better from Celtic today back to faster pace football and 2 great goals. Agree with Kenny, another winger with a bit of trickery is a must. Maeda n Abada’s strengths are running in behind. Against low blocks, we need a winger with a bit of trickery that can commit defenders and open up space.

Let's face it, we won because they are mince. Our defence was an unmitigated shambles in the first half and was on numerous times beaten by a single pass in behind because the back four couldn't even hold a line, with AJ the worst offender. We got nothing from the wings and the first eight times madea got the ball he lost possession. There were two great finishes that put us ahead with kyogo's strike being world class. Against ten men we nearly threw it away with the whole team looking ragged when out of possession. AJ had a shocker and was lucky not to see red several times and give away a penalty. Great to win, but let's face it the cracks are in the canvas, and the league is still in the balance.

AJ for me produced the worse performance I’ve seen from our players this season! Taylor and ralston produced that and there would be calls for them to never play for us again! He couldn’t pass,couldn’t run,couldn’t tackle and was constantly caught out of position! Could have been sent off and I was stunned that Rodgers kept him on. The problems with Taylor at left back have been well documented this season but AJ is really struggling!

Agree Paul, our Captain was magnificent in lifting our team over the line. Nawrocki was really solid when he came on. Mystery why he's disappeared for months? For most of the game our football was a class above theirs. They lacked quality to finish any of their chances. Ironically the only time they looked dangerous was when they went down to 10 men. Last 15 mins a bit nervous but the better side prevailed. Thanks again for a great podcast and next step 50000!!!

Kenny, at 2:15 what is it with this 'Maeda was poor' chat? I would go as far to say that any football fan who does not rate Maeda has never played the game at a decent level, like even Junior/Lowland League level, so they do not understand how hard it is to do what Maeda does & do not appreciate how much it helps the team. (1) He got Balogun sent off with a brilliant bit of play, which in the end might have been the difference with his draw. (2) For Kyogo's goal he made the run off the ball which made Goldson stand-off Kyogo for that half-second to give Kyogo that half-yard of space he needed to shoot. (3) His closing down throughout meant they struggled to get out & his running off the ball always had them scared to commit men forward - this helped the team get a territorial advantage on the park & stopped the opposition just flooding men forward - you saw the difference when he went off & they dominated with 10 men. (4) It was even his run to the front-post for the 1st goal which led to Sima fluffing his clearance. (5) He was a threat throughout from his runs & movement and you always felt like there was movement & chances coming when he was there (there were a couple he was so close to getting on the end of). To call that 'poor' - you are clueless about what it takes to have a successful team, Kenny.

Kenny is spot on..... it's like breaking your opponents serve in tennis and😢 winning the game or winning a darts leg on your opponents throw......you have to back it up with winning your own service game in tennis or the next leg in darts when you have the darts.....that means winning away against St Mirren and three more points and make everyone feel better going into the Winter break. I think we should be very confident with brendan rodgers, he won every trophy when he was here before and celtic are well known to run away with the league in the 2nd half of the season most of the 9 in a row seasons we weren't that far ahead at this stage, i had no nerves today until tavernier scored that free kick but before the game i thought we were gonna win 3-0 and when kyogo scored i was thinking im right because we were all over them after it

Yasssss!!!!! Great shows today lads! In free flowing football we are streets ahead of our nearest rivals who to give them their dues today try and play football but are pish at it! 😅 On the players, we all saw who and what needs to be done, you all covered that in both shows. But even with the players that made mistakes they gave it their all today, proud of the grit and determination shown, superb. Looks like Nawrocki will finally get his chance, looks solid. And things are looking up with Hatate and Abada available. As per Calmac said in his post match and has been a problem in other games, giving possession away cheaply and managing out games when we are leading and don’t need to take risks, why do we still look to be chasing the game? We need to work on better composure and we’ll progress further on the bigger stages as well. It is ironic, when we are playing against low block teams we have ball possession for days so it’s no like we don’t get any practice at it! A resounding 3 wins on the bounce, let’s keep this party going through the new year and onto the last game the players need to keep pushing and get their well deserved break!
