Celtic Frost is a top 5 thrash metal band for me....it sounds so evil and raw...as supposed to be... I'm 54 yo and still headbanging to their songs...till I die!!!

The front row headbanging is almost as good as the Band!

I have always LOVED Celtic Frost! Incredible band. From day one they slammed..Especially in those days, but Tom G Warrior still carries on the morbid tradition in his more recent band, Triptykon!!Rest In Peace, Martin Ain..

Celtic Frost, Venom & Slayer= all 3 bands were my music gateway back in high school and im proud to say theyre still among my favorite metal bands

Discovered these guys back in 1985 on a metal comp tape with Destruction, Exodus, Venom, Bulldozer, Megadeth, (even Metallica), VOIVOD, Slayer, Possessed and Exciter. Still have the Maxell tape it was recorded on (labeled 11/10/85).

Such smart and down to earth guys. I wish the interview could have been longer. I love hearing Tom and Martin talk.

I love how the show and the background music is so happy and they just go with it and enjoy the interview!

I remember being in High School, and waiting for latest Hit Parader with announcements from Metal Blade records and the like, with new acts/album releases. Owned every vinyl these guys ever released, scouring for imports. Grateful parents could care less what I listened to at the time.

I remeber being a kid on family vacation at my Grandmothers old folks trailer park in Florida. I was bored to tears and climbing the walls for something to do. I had MTV power hour (whatever it was called) on. They played mostly Ratt and Anvil and shit like that. Then they played Circle of the Tyrants. Felt like I was hit by lightening. UHN! Ive loved extreme metal since that moment.

Not only did they have great songs that would cause instant head bang, but their sound was awesome and unique. Ahh the good 'ol days. I'm so glad I grew up back then listening to rock and metal and not the marketing garbage most teens grow up with now.

Early Celtic Frost influenced me beyond words. Emperors Return and Morbid Tales are classic. I happened upon the Emperors Return cassette at a record shop...I was familiar with Hellhammer from a comp. but they were hard to get a hold of here in the states at the time (1985/86). I bought Slayer "show no mercy" on pic. vinyl and was browsing the metal tapes and the artwork for Emperors Return immediately caught my eye. I had an extra $5 and took a risk. Went home with that and Sodom "obsessed by cruelty" on cassette (still have 'em!). Celtic Frost stood out ( I was and remain a fan the Moorcock "Elric of Melnibone" stories and occultism...Black Arts by Cavendish...Crowley), I couldn't hear enough. I introduced them to my friends and we immediately became Celtic Frost cult! I remember an old leather vest I had painted the Celtic Frost logo on! Spikes and leather man! My friends and I went on to various reform schools and juvenile institutions. Metal for sure!

I like the fact that these young men are very intelligent and very well spoken. Wich would be a surprise for people who don't understand this kind of music.

i loved these guys from the first time i saw their Lp " Morbid Tales" in the small import section of a record store in Chicago around 1985. Before i even heard it , i just had a feeling this was going to be great, different stuff. i was just getting into more underground Metal at the time and looking for the heaviest , darkest stuff. The promotional sticker on the front and the back cover photos gave me a clue this was something i needed !!!

When everyone favored Venom and Slayer "I" fell in love with Celtic Frost at the tender age of 15 (1984, ya im kinda old) i still jam them today...(i even have their logo tattooed on my back)...

Was für eine großartige Band ... Es war meine zweite Hälfte der 80er Jahre ... zusammen mit Destruction, Sodom, Accept und Kreator ... European Metal ist tausendmal besser als amerikanischer ... Big Celtic Frost und jetzt Kriptycon ... Big Tom und seine keltische Band ... Grüße aus Chile (im Süden dieser Welt)

These guys were fn pioneers.This was pre-goth metal,pre-black metal.Just the look alone influenced the whole black metal scene.To my knowledge,no one was doing that back then.You couldn't lump them in with glam,thrash or power metal.They were something else entirely.They were in a class of their own.

One of the most underrated HM bands, "godfathers" of black metal. Discovered them for myself back in 1985. Since that time always had their LP's, CD's and now flacs. Best regard from Russia.

I'm not good at heavy metal history, but it seems to me that those guys contributed A LOT to what would be known later as black metal.

One of the first bands influenced by Blyatushka. They tried hard to be like us at the very beginning of their career. It was very nice and moving to see them developing their own style.
