Brendan didn't get the backing he wanted to build the team he wanted. Yes he is egotistical and was always going to leave but not backing him will go down as one of our biggest failings guarantee he'll go onto manage a Man Utd and then go onto a Barcelona or some such club. Guys a class manager who wasn't backed by the board.
No it's not, if we invested right and took the challenge from Rangers seriously then it wouldn't have been such a huge gap and there would more pressure on Rangers. We have definitely chucked it this season from top to bottom, Rangers have ben excellent but we have been beyond poor so it's not bs.
@@garyskelly4677 it's not really deflection. Granted Rangers have played very well this season and need to give credit as much as I don't want too. However Celtic have been shooting themselves in the foot every 2 weeks since this season has started.
We’re fucking shite! Complete panic act at the back whenever the balls near the goal, no confidence at all.. This season has been nothing less than shameful and embarrassing.. I fully agree that we have been that bad that we’ve essentially handed them the title, but nobody can deny they are in form, they’re getting results and we’re not! 🍀
The amount of times I've been told by happy clappers "ahh its ok if we're out of Europe the leagues our bread and butter, as long as we get the ten thats all that matters" I wonder how they fans feel right now. 😅🥴
No product whatsoever from Laxalt and another needless freekick giveaway. The keeper had another shocker at the goal, what is wrong with that boy? Defensive coaching is a shambles, has been for years now......one common denominator, Kennedy.
@@Cheltenham-Chat Laxalt has a good attitude but Taylor is a much better player. Laxalt is noticed a lot because he runs about with that daft hair. His end product is awful, probably worse than Mo Camaras. Taylor is a better defender and better going forward, he should start every game from now on.
Top job, gentlemen. Martin, should have gone to Lourdes not Dubai. Brilliant. In fairness, the club did show some respect for the supporters, they didn't put barbed wire on the fence they surrounded the stadium with.
If I take anything from this season, its that a large element of our support are happy clappers. Seem fine to watch a club deteriorate which is very concerning.
Whilst walking out of the ground booing a performance where a celtic side lost 4-3 to cluj at celtic park I had supporters telling me to get a grip "win lose or draw faithful through and through". People need to get out of this mindset that just because we critique our club which we are perfectly entitled to do as supporters who pay into the club whether it be through merch, season tickets etc we don't stop supporting the team.
When the positive covid case was first announced it was an unnamed player, that to me seems like we didn’t want it to be known it was Jullien cos they were scared of the backlash from it since he shouldn’t have been there! Any other time our players have covid related news they have been named, they knew it was daft taking him the least they could do is apologise to us and everyone else! Shambles
Juillien was named though and on a very similar time scale to when other Covid positive players have been named. I think you're reading a wee bit too much into this.
What's the point in buying new players this month? The season's gone so just play the reserves till the end of it then give the new manager the money to buy players in the summer. The club need to think big on the new manager like they did with Rodgers. No more cheap options. Better spend the money on a manager with a decent pedigree than on a bunch of talentless rejects and over-the-hill, injury-prone has-beens and never-had-beens on the park. Lennon shouldn't get another penny to spend on any more rubbish before he eventually goes.
Well said.I agree 100%.this season has been a disaster because of Lawwell and Lennon.the sooner both are gone the better.Nicky Hamond should go as well because most of his hand picked players are duds!!
Couldn't agree with you more lads. Responsibility is the word that comes to mind. Failure to take responsibility from those in charge, failure to communicate with the fans. What happens now with Lennon, with the squad? Are we just going to limp on to the end of the season with this set up and then hit next season's European qualifiers as ill prepared as usual?
The ultimate train wreck of a season but the head of recruitment must be delighted with all the issues as its takes the spotlight away from him - duffy, barkas, laxlat, ajetti, boli....the list goes on. A fortune wasted while rangers have won the league on a shoe string budget
I’m a Celtic supporter and I’m with more every other day and I’ve not heard one who still support Lennon or thinks it’s all rosy in the garden and we’ve not lost it either rangers have won it as they have been better coached and have been relentless we have been pure Shite
5:18 Callum "we have lost the league this year, nobody has took it away from us" Keep telling yourself that. Try being unbiased for once in your life. Rangers haven't lost a single game in 23, they have hopefully taken this league from Celtic (Still games to play yet). Even at your best you could not compete with that. Even if the only 2 games Rangers dropped points was defeats to Celtic they would still top the table (which didn't happen anyway).
A bit harsh to be saying you lost the league yourselves when there is a team on top that hasnt lost a game, only conceded 6 goals and dropped 4 pts... Rangers would still be in the same position regardless of Celtics demise this season.. It would only be closer at the top.
Nothing surprises me with Celtic now, yet again another 90 mins of aimless/structureless football. From the moment Rodgers left the standards and professionalism at this "high profile club" have been nothing short of horrendous, easily the worst I've seen a club led in the past decade by quite some distance. I can only hope that as a fanbase we can hit the board where it hurts and thats their pockets, only then do I feel they'll really be forced into change, the only positive that can possibly come from this season at this stage is a mass clear out from background staff to players who are wanting away and the manager. The fact we are almost 2 weeks into the January window and mickey Johnstone is our only fit natural winger is laughable, dont hit me with elyonoussi is a winger 😴
Our main shareholder is a billionaire, the other major shareholders are also immensely wealthy. They're not reliant on Celtic for their income and trying to hit them in the pocket will not only do zilch but it will damage the club immensely.
Ultimately it is the fans that pay the wages of club staff whether it be Lawwell or anyone else. Unfortunately the kind of money Lawwell is currently on is the going rate for his position. it's not right and I wish it were not so but that's reality. If we don't pay it someone else will and other clubs have tried to poach him in the past with Arsenal being one of them.
Won't be before long the government just stop football in Scotland and there's really only one club in Scotland that's constantly think they are above reproach with absolutely no consideration to the privileged position they are in and that's Celtic. The fans made an arse of themselves with the gathering to shout at the team bus, Bolingoli broke lockdown rules to shag some burd abroad and now the Dubai fiasco. Only saving grace is there is other clubs in Scotland acting responsibly and some fans of Celtic who are not condoning them. Let's face it absolutely no one even remotely neutral let alone rival fans wanted Celtic to get anything from tonight's game. Lucky they even were allowed to play at all.
Id actually agree with almost all of that. Except that lots of other clubs and their players have broken the rules. But Celtic are getting what we deserve. I say we meaning the club, not the fans. The club deserve to be ridiculed and fand of other teams should wire in.
@@davidkelly499 the club might be taking criticism but they're also just as quick to take season ticket money whilst putting the chances of fans getting back into a stadium backwards. It's actually a form of extortion when you think about it. I really don't blame the fans in general, small number and all that and at end of day are really just civilian police matter as they can't get in the stadium anyways but the club itself are actual representatives of Scotland's reigning champion side so yes, they do run the risk more than anyone else of spoiling it for Scottish football as a whole. The clowns need to give their heads a shake.
@@wo8199 Yeah agree with all of that. But lets not kid on that all scottish clubs and their players have "behaved". Celtic have been by far the worst with this idiotic trip to Dubai and I am not shocked in the slightest that still nobody at the club has resigned because of it. A shambles.
really? For many decades Rangers thought they were the only team and actually were with the help of Orange Order refs. Other clubs have also broken the rules. Rangers had two players with covid only last week. As for neutrals, they also want to see Rangers getting humped every week.
Another great analysis paul. Im disgusted with celtic and the car crash we have become . Im hoping football season is called now due to covid,as we are going to be about 35 points adrift by the end of the season.
I guess Im asking randomly but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the account password. I love any help you can give me!
@Maurice Casen thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Absolutely! The first time I saw him play, I could see he has no football nouse. If the average fan can see that why can’t the management? No amount of coaching will improve him, what you see is what he will continue to be.
@@archieneill2773 people gonna say he’s still young and they are right but at a club like Celtic he shouldn’t be a starter when he’s no where good enough. People always mention he doesn’t make any costly mistakes but that’s cause he’s never in a defensive position.
Real chance that Livi will beat us home and away. They are on fire and we are, to be blunt, an absolute mess. Having to throw youngsters in because of the Dubai trip means that we are in a battle for second place now. Cant be too harsh on the younger players. Hazard played well until the goal. Duffy and Welsh looked ok as well (which is an improvement on what we've seen this season). Taylor is better than Laxalt, thats the main change for the weekend. Real concern now that our younger players take a confidence hit and arent seen for some time now, as is the way that we seem to operate. Needs must for the next two games, we dont have anyone else to come in. We'll struggle to score in the next two games because we dont have an available striker and wingers up front doesnt work. Its just kind of at a state of acceptance now. The board wont do anything as I dont think they know what to do. Lennon wont do anything because he's hanging on for a pay day and doesnt care less (see pints in the sun for evidence). As I said after the rangers defeat, we are in real danger now of doing lasting damage to the club that will leave us chasing rangers for at least another season or two. Congratulations to rangers as well btw. They have been relentless and the league (if it finshes) will be over before the next derby game.
I dont agree with the trip at all. But they did get approval. The SFA and Scotlands clinical director have both said they had approval. Now they should not have gone, obviously. Both for professional and moral reasons. But to say they didnt have permission is incorrect, they did.
Hi paul. 1 thing that has me absolutely confused about the whole dubai fiasco is: how is it possible for first team players such as turnbull, frimpong, laxalt, duffy, soro, hazard etc to play tonight, yet the other 13 players have to self isolate. Surely the whole first team squad were in dubai so how can the decision be made to isolate some squad members and not others. I'm totally lost and this situation has not been covered in the media or any youtube channel I follow. Absolute shambles
@@gzz8551 that's crazy because they were in hotel, bar, training ground and even around each others company at meal times so it's absolutely pathetic to think they based that decision on an airplane manifest. Thanks for letting me know, wasnt aware of that
The good news is that next season will be a new management team with new players. After the disaster that has been this season I'm kind of excited about the changes that will come in the summer. I know there is still the scottish cup and securing second place but it does feel very much like this season is done, after this season ends the only way is up.
Coming off a disasterous season with fans having paid out season ticket money for essentially TV viewing the board are going to have to come up with something big to get people to pony up again. There is a very real chance that there will be hugely reduced crowds in the stadiums for much of next season, fans will be reluctant to spend that money again especially with no change of management. The best thing the board can do is employ a manager of substance in a show of intent that next season will be a different story, a big appointment will get many fans back on board. I think it is going to be one huge clearout come the summer, hopefully they bring in the right manager to get this all rolling.
@@philipmccabe5169 I agree with all of that but dont believe we will get a top coaching team in. We dont need a new manager any more, a whole coaching set up from top to bottom is needed. We knew this summer would be a rebuild anyway. We've now made it too much to do in one transfer window. The lack of action is starting to effect next season already.
Lawwell relaxing in the stand. 3 million in his hipper. Celtic fans are taken for a ride again. This club is a total laughing stock!!!! This is going to be gut wrenching for the rest of the season. Celtic now don’t have the money to rebuild or attract quality players. Arrogance is a terrible disease!!
What a absolute shambles “ Christopher Jullien on crutches, why the hell was going when he’s out for four months , I can’t believe the stupidity in this trip !!!
"we lost the league, rangers never won it." unbeaten so far, rangers have been the better team in this season and last season in old Firm games. Apart from that last one for 60 minutes. Just face facts if celtic were playing better they would still be in second place but just 6pts behind. As we still would have beaten them twice by now. Fact is rangers were the better team this season.
ive seen worse seasons, fans are an absoloute joke this season. when things are going bad you get behind the team all we have done is made the situation worse and made us a laughing stock.
The team is an absolute shambles... The fans who are complaining want nothing more than success for the club, things will not get better if we all just sit and clap this shitshow
We could of got covid in Scotland too x any one of us whould be on that plane pro players or not x if we came back and smash it it was successful stop crying about everything and support your team we can still win this 😁
🤣🤣 just saying we should be looking for ways to win games not blame bolongoli Dubai the bus Lennon covid or the board so much negotiatviy # it not over yet #20in row 🤣🤣
@@kevincantley852 When most of the first team is out, because of that trip, it has a big effect on the strength of the team. So it is directly related to dropping points boy. The whole attitude surrounding it stinks. That's a fact.
We could off had the whole team out with covid staying in Scotland too the trip has been successfully ever year so far so why not # tranning in Dubai sun or Scottish rain 🏋️🍀🤔
This season is like that shit relationship we all had, yi know its going nowhere but nobody wants to be the one to end it. We're a laughing stock on and now off the park. Sooner the season is over the better.
