All other tutorials have been so confusing! As soon as I came across yours, I knew I would get the hang of it. Your tutorials are always very clear and easy to follow!
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. I am making a large blanket. With your comment of starting the cross with the stitches pointing towards you I am never confused on where to stitch next! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
I've been mired down in one project (mega-afghan) so I haven't been watching your videos for a while. It is SO NICE to see you again! First, I love the way you start your videos. You always say something interesting about the project but you never go on too long. (Long intros seem to have become de rigeur and they're quite annoying.) But yours are perfect. Second, you are so genuine and so honest, to point out your own mistakes and, as always, explaining the overall concept so clearly-- love it! This is why you're my favorite tutor. Now, can you show me a simple way to make a French styled cheesecake? LOL! (You can do anything, right?) ❤
I have learned over the years that people really don't care about me as a person. My opinion should stay on track and the point of this platform is to demonstrate as thoroughly as I can, expose a bit of my personality but stay on task. I think it's better that way. Thanks for recognizing that.
@@TheCrochetCrowd u betcha! I am constantly sharing mostly Turkish and Russian videos on Facebook because of the remarkable things that they do and I add just a little message "don't be afraid of any language barrier because they show you everything and they point to everything and they count the stitches pointing with their hook or needle so you're aware that you need to pay close attention in that area..." I wonder how many English videos are passed around/shared the same way in, say, Slovakia, or Ukraine, or the Balkans?
Thank you so much!!! (I left a comment on your insta post) I was on my fourth tutorial, and with a heavy sigh searched again and this came up!! And I've got it, by Jove! Amazing teacher, thank you again.
So, I couldn’t wait and am watching the Left hand version and boy, kudos to those who can crochet and tape both handed ways. It’s a skill I won’t learn in this lifetime for sure.
Hoi Mikey, I felt like I was in a Celtic knot in the beginning! Your fantastic tutorial did a great job of getting me untangled and I am now well on my way to having my own Celtic weave cowl. Thank you for yet another great pattern. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 🤗🥰
Hey Mikey! I’ve never tried this stitch cause I thought it was too difficult but I’m not intimidated with this tutorial and a finally giving it a shot! Great tutorial as usual! 💜🧶💜
I have a question. It looks like on your row 3 recap, at the end of the row before the double crochet ends, when you’re doing the last two trebles straight up, it looks like you did one front row treble and one back row treble. Is that right? Or is it two back post trebles in this row? Thank you in advance
When it comes to mistakes, I am a firm believer in the Navajo weavers belief that my work must contain 1 mistake so that my soul is not trapped in the work. At least that's what I tell anyone who points out a mistake.
How is 4 + 6 different than 4 + 2? I've seen combos of stitch counts like this in other patterns. I'm not trying to be controversial. I truly don't understand the difference.
I know it's strange but if you graph this design out. The extra stitches needed for the balance equals more than the stitch combo itself. You can be misaligned if you do 4 + 2. 4 + 6 = 10. You would be missing 4 chains.
