Wild Mountain Thyme, from Postcards From Ireland. Music composed, arranged & produced by Daragh O'Toole. Rathmines Music. Video Director - Donal Moloney Production Company - Celtic Woman Ltd.
My mom loved this band. It’s been 7 years since my mom passed onto heaven. I fell down when I lost her, but 7 years later I have finnaly picked myself back up and am on my way to something better and brighter. I know my mom will always be with me watching and smiling and singing and dancing in the meadows of heaven
@@shayleeledevre6401 thank you and blessings upon you and your loved ones and their loved ones and the ones they love and all the ones the love and the world hence forth. @@Mingonator87 It doesn't feel overboard to me. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and the smile. Blessings upon you and all of your loved ones also. Merry Christmas to all as well. 💚🙏🏻
@@dunruden9720 Sometimes we can be a little indecent! ;) Lol! I didn't even notice that typo! I use speech to text and it is freaking bonkers on this new phone. 🤦🏼♀️ I'm not even going to edit it though because it's just funny xD
I have literally been listening to them (Celtic Woman) / her (Chloe Agnewe) since legit 2008 with their performance at Live At Slane Castle (if not before!!!!). 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Every time I saw CW over the years Chloe was with the group.i always knew she would be even better than the last time I heard her in concert. And other aspects of her performance would be even better than last. Chloe never failed to exceed my faith.
Lyrics: O the summer time is coming And the trees are sweetly blooming And the wild mountain thyme Grows around the blooming heather Will you go, lassie, go? And we'll all go together To pull wild mountain thyme All around the blooming heather Will you go, lassie, go? And we'll all go together To pull wild mountain thyme All around the blooming heather Will you go, lassie, go? I will build my love a bower By yon clear and crystal fountain And on it I will pile All the flowers of the mountain Will you go, lassie, go? And we'll all go together To pull wild mountain thyme All around the blooming heather Will you go, lassie, go? If my true love he won't had me I will surely find another To pull wild mountain thyme All around the blooming heather Will you go, lassie, go? And we'll all go together To pull wild mountain thyme All around the blooming heather Will you go, lassie, go? Go lassie go? And we'll all go together To pull wild mountain thyme All around the blooming heather Will you go, lassie, go? And we'll all go together To pull wild mountain thyme All around the blooming heather Will you go, lassie, go?
Thank you! I remembered some of the lyrics of this favorite from when I was a girl listening to the 1960s New Christie Minstrels. Always thought of it as a Scottish love song.
Always such beautiful work. My parents adopted my brother and I as infants, and all we knew was that we were Irish. They took us to anything Irish they could here in the States, and they always showed us the newest music. Celtic Woman became the only good thing about being an abandoned child, and to this day, it is still something my dad and I listen to together. Love you ladies, thank you for making me feel special in bad circumstances.
Sweetie, you don't know what difficulty your birth parents were facing. The greatest act of love is to give your child away because you know they will have a better life than you can ever provide for them. It's heart breaking for any mother to carry a child for 9 months, and know you cannot take care of them yourself, that if you love them you'll let them go to be raised by strangers that can provide for them. I bet your birth mother says a prayer for you on each birthday that she missed being with you. Until you find her and ask her yourself and prove otherwise, just carry that thought with you, your mother loved you enough to give you a better life, and misses you. Although I could be wrong, I don't know your mother's situation back then. I just know the choices friends of mine made. She gave birth to you, she didn't abort you. Hope this helps. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 👵🙂✌️☮️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊
Most anyone can be a mother or a father. Far fewer are those who earn the title of "Dad" or "Mom." You said "...it is still something my dad and I listen to together." Though your life may not have started out as might have been preferred, it sounds like you have a true Dad and likely a true Mom as well. Having been a Dad for many years, I hope you make peace with that which you cannot change, and cherish what you do have, it's clearly very special.
I have watched "Wild Mountain Thyme" by Celtic Woman a few times, and these ladies' voices are so beautiful to hear, and then we see their outstanding beauty along with those gorgeous long red dresses. The varied outdoor scenes photographed to capture each lady closeup as she sings lends to the skills the director wanted to display that enhance each one. Those close-ups when there is no singing make this an outstanding music video. So beautifully captured for us to enjoy.
This lineup sounds a lot like the original Celtic Woman lineup. Every incarnation of this group has been incredible and I can’t wait to see where these ladies take it
@@kaalamankusinaatkantahan3487 Which one is Chloe? I think I recognize the lady on screen right, but who are the other two? The one in the middle I've never seen before.
@@kaalamankusinaatkantahan3487 I know Chloe is an original member, but I didn't recognize her here since she looks and sounds so different from the last time I saw her years ago. She still sounds and looks fine, I just didn't recognize her until commenters said one here was Chloe.
@@rowanaforrest9792 same here, from the sweet young lady she was to a stunning woman with a more powerful and full voice plus she slimmed a lot and still looks sooo 🥇
Love this song! Celtic Woman is the best group ever and then I have to laugh when my granddaughter sees the background and yells " Grandma look, they are singing by Dumbledore's grave!" . Nice location ladies
Thank you in loving memory of Brooke and Lynn, I lost Brooke Haulbrooks wyatt to covid 19 in February this year then two months later my other bff passed away then her mom too in July this year, please pray for me it hasn't been easy, I love Orinoco Flow ,you raise me up,I have you're cds and DVDs, I haven't been strong through the heartache and grieving
I heard this song for the first time on the radio a few days ago, as we were driving over to mum's grave, as it was my parents' wedding anniversary. My mother's name was Heather.. Hearing her name sung such beautifully, on that particular day made me feel a wave of emotions. I am greatful for this coincidence and I hope that this is a sign from the Lord, showing that my mum is happy, at peace and no longer suffering wherever she is and that she knows how much I love and miss her. I hope that all mothers and children that have been separated will be reunited around the blooming heather in God's heavenly garden.
These young women have such sweet harmonies I took my mom and twin to hear them in April 2013 my grandmother passed away in September of that year I miss her so much
Respects forever. for this. wonderful Ladies & Gentlemen. of. Eire Land. only RESPECT. & believe in God & peace. because we are all brothers in arms. RESPECTS. Eire Land
I like to think I'm an articulate person, but words fail me to describe how beautiful and how much I love this song, plus how much it means to me. Blessings on everyone involved.
A wonderful pianist/singer by the name of Leslie Harlib sang this song exquisitely and I fell in love with it and her 38 years ago at the Cafe Royale boite in San Francisco. I have sung it many times and my soul hurts & soars when I do. Lovely rendition...
I absolutely love listening to any and every version of these wonderful ladies. It is our good fortune that these beautiful and talented ladies share their voices with us.
Wow! I have missed the original Celtic Women. So so so good to see Chloe. She has grown into a lovely woman! However, the new group sounds beatiful. Thank you.♥️
It must have been cold when they produced this video. I had pity on the women in their light dresses. But it was a pleasure to hear them singing this wonderful song in this great landscape.
My mom and her mom and 3 sisters always honor my grandfather Barry on Saint Patrick’s Day, who was 100 percent Irish and died on Saint Patrick’s Day of 2009. They all go to Spring Lake, New Jersey and celebrate and honor his life at a bar called Saint Stephen’s Public House. Every year that they go there the same band performs this song in honor of Barry. Over the years the band has gotten to know my mom and her mom and sisters since they have been going to the same place pretty much every year !! “Wild Mountain Thyme” truly means so much to me and my family and makes us feel that Barry is alive and lives on through this song !!! We miss you and love you Barry Boy !!!
This is the first record I ever owned back in 1961 and when I hear it it brings back memories of being a kid. 63 years ago I would never have imagined I’d hear it played by bagpipes another country . WONDERUL !! I love bagpipes .
Hearing this live last night at Crystal Grand Wisconsin Dells was possibly one of the most amazing moments of my life. To get to see Chloe and the rest of the amazing ladies of Celtic Woman....I couldn't ask for a better evening!
In a world going so crazy I cannot thank you all enough for reminding me of the auld yins and their great ways of thinking. Thank you all for reminding me what it means to be Scottish and Celtic. You have really moved my heart to the very core.
