Jason takes are REALLY bad. How does Jrue Holiday edge out Rondo ? Rondo was considered to be a top 3 PG in the league during his time, 4x all star and 2x NBA champ, Jrue is cold but he’s not better than Rondo. Also he said “Al Horford making the HOF is the real question” Are your serious? It’s the BASKETBALL HOF, he’s a 2x NCAA Nat. Champ, NBA Champ, and 5x All Star. Maybe not 1st ballot but he’s a guaranteed lock
i guarantee you most players would rather play with jrue he's team first and has no ego he is better than rondo except playmaking rondo was a diva and had too much ego the opposite of jrue rondo was too average at free throws and jumpers for a point guard ✌️
When was Rondo considered a top 3 PG? He played around the time Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Steph Curry, Dame Lillard, Russell Westbrook, Kyrie Irving and Derrick Rose all played. He was not better than any of the guys I mentioned.
@@christiansantiago4711 there was a time Rondo was considered top 3 from I would say 2010 until about 2012. The top 3 in no order was CP3, D Rose, and Rondo during this 2/3 year window. A few of those guys you mentioned surpassed him later but they were still coming into their own during this time. Steph was an injury riddled player with bad ankles, Kyrie was drafted in 2011, Dame 2012, Derron was nice but he never got the respect he deserved and recognition to be in that top 3 discussion.

Not sure but, Rondo's shooting would put him out of this offense. 5 out. You have to be able to shoot. Jrue scores more and guards more positions than Rondo. Rondo is the better playmaker and is one of the smartest players ever.
Both players have attributes that one player might be better than the other. Both players made significant impacts on any team they played with in different and similiar ways. However, Prime Rondo before the injuries was top 3 best point guards in the league (DRose, CP3, Rondo) and top 15-20 best players in the league at that time. If Rondo was healthier in his career and had better coach-player relationships with his coaches after he left playing for Doc Rivers, his name and accolades would be heightened. If your NBA team was a "middle of the road" type of team, and Rondo was given the keys to orchestrate that team as the leader, he would have that team playing way above expectations. He did it in New Orleans, Sacremento, and in Chicago. Not sure if Jrue has or could do that. But much respect to Jrue for what he does bring to the team and his impact on the game.

Jrue is not flashy like his peers in his era but if you insert those players in MIL or BOS they do not win. I am talking about Westbrick, Dame, Deron Williams, John Wall, Kyrie, Chris Paul, and I can continue. Jrue understands team basketball.

PG13 is a level above T-Mac. Give me a break. George took teams to the Conference Finals in both conferences and was a superior defender and outside shooter in his prime.
In Season Championship does not count. Real Laker fans like me does not even acknowledge that. Celtics are set up to win for the next few years we are struggling to figure it out with aging stars as our core.
Also, 2008 celtics win in a close series just because there is no Paul pierce or garnett killer instinct at a comparable level. Not saying 24 isnt killers but those 2 were serial killers
