There's something incredibly nostalgic about these early Vocaloid works. The illustrations really add a storybook feel to the song. Truly beautiful work!

My opinion: Cinderella (Miku) wanted to get away from her stepmother and sisters, so she contacted a being who she thought was a Fairy Godmother. The being turned out to be a demon, who contracted Cinderella, saying that unless she spills the Prince's (Kaito) blood before midnight, she will die. Fearing for her life, Cinderella goes to the ball in a gown with glass slippers that the demon gave her as well as with a knife. They meet at the ball and they fall in love, but Cinderella still has a job to do, but she doesn't want to kill the Prince. She tries to stab him, and at first, she thinks she succeeded, until he stands back up. She actually grazed his side, and the Prince reveals that he had a feeling that something was afoot the whole time since she was acting so strange. And since his blood was technically spilled before midnight, Cinderella is released from her contract and the two run off into the night, getting their happily ever after.

Miku is a bad assassin. You're fired.

To the people who are saying that Cendrillion sounds like Adolescence, you are right because it is the same music. Adolescence is a cover by Rin and Len with different lyrics. Adolescence was created to celebrate the Kagamine's first anniversary. So it's sort of a parody, just not satirical.

The final lines of the song discuss the moment right after the prince is stabbed while she can still feel him with her, and muses on how they want the moment to last forever. Cendrillon has many varying interpretations. A popular alternate PV portrays the prince as surviving her stab and running off into the night with the girl.

That's really clever, actually. The witch said that Kaito's blood must spill before midnight, or else Miku would die. By cutting him on his side, technically his blood was spilled without him dying!

The lyrics kind of strongly hint they both die though. The lyrics said something about miku stabbing kaito and soon after kaito could smell gun powder from the girl. I think Miku did kill Kaito but after she did, the masked man shot her. Hence the last lyrics saying something about their "bodies feeling cold and growing numb like a fairy tale"

Cendrillon is a French word which means 'Cinderella'. The story of the song is retelling of Cinderella with a dark twist. A girl (Miku) attends a ball to kill the prince (Kaito) when the clock strikes twelve, since she was handled by the fairy godmother. As the girl and the prince meet, they dance together and fall in love. The girl becomes increasingly conflicted as midnight approaches, falling into a dilemma as she does not want to kill him. Eventually the girl stabs the prince

I'm pretty sure there is like a super deep meaning to this song like every other Vocaloid songs - I just didn't find it.

What I got out of this video is that Miku was a pesent and really wanted a better life so a man in a clock came to her and told her to kill the prince and she would have a much better life.She tells him and says I cant do it ,but I have to.So she cutts him and starts to cry.she didnt know he was alive so when she found out the ran to give him a hug.He said lets run away and never look back, so they did.
