One of the thing that blue fender or whatever it was that that you made yourself. It would look really great if you put a couple racing stripes down that plain blue body. Course you’d have to go get something to match up with it to enhance everything but not the blue color that you put on it so the stripes wouldn’t work would take away from that strong blue color a little.

This was a month ago. Kathy playing the Georgia Satellites yet? The Censtar is very good looking. Even though the pickups are waxed, I don't think they sound as good as they could. Good thing you are used to getting your hands in there and making things right! The price is definitely reasonable. I can see the value in this guitar. This is a great review. Thanks for sharing!

That dry stack rock/stone work you have on your walls looks awesome. I do stone work. There’s a lot of work that goes in to installing dry stack. Whoever did the work did a great job.

I believe that the Gibsons and Fenders of today will never appreciate like the original ones from the early days did. With everything being made on CNC machines now and PLEK'd a budget guitar can play and hold up as well as a Gibson or Fender. I have a Harley Benton SC500 (Les Paul Custom) that plays as good as any legacy Les Paul. I put tuner, a brass nut, and Guitarheads Alnico Supreme pickups in it and it plays beautifully. $158 to my door!

I have a Harley Benton Les Paul style for $158, and it gets at least 90% of the way to a real LP, at 10% of the cost. The high shipping cost from Europe is the only downside.

I mean full pots wax potted pick ups Shealed paint Flame top Great neck Hardware better installed then most And it's in the colour of Money Coil splits Also that's the second one in a Styrofoam pack zero damage Great guitar to mod down the road if you wanted SD sound. I thought your guitar sounded better fatter.... But it's crazy that that's $200 USD It's double up here in the Great White north but a fraction of a LP Cheers guys Doug 😎

The green burst really looks great on camera. It's not so flashy, but sometimes you want it to be like that. Great video! I have a couple of those Grote guitars and I agree that they don't play or feel anything like an Epiphone.

I was looking at the Amazon listing for this guitar and I am kind of partial to the Cherry sunburst. The pickups don't sound too bad, kind of comparable to the more current Firefly models that are actually wax potted well. The full size pots is a major plus along with the individual coil splitting. This might be a future purchase. I see the fretboard radius is listed as a 13". Sean, can you verify that and list the weight of the one you received? Thanks, bud.

Love your presentations and skills. The two Censtar Saturn guitars I got to see weighed 8.7 and 8.9 lbs. Boat anchors. Looked good for the prices, but way too heavy mahogany body and neck. I think your viewers would like to see the weight of the guitars you show, I know I would. Thanks and keep up the good work.

That is a beautiful guitar. I really love that green (green is my favorite color, and that shade of green is perfect for a less paul style). I wont give up my prs for it, but i would definitely have it if my budget was limited to that range. Great score.

Just discovered this channel!! And being bit of a guitar snob and loving variety irs awesome to see what your getting out of these cheap guitars so i just ordered my fist china made les paul greenie clone! For $150 with tax and shipping $302 to my front door. Cant wait to see how she plays. Looks like i might need to invest in some tools like that fret scraper and the intonation straight edge

A worthwhile comparison would be coil taps vs. coil split pick ups. There is a noticeable difference. For example, I had an early 80's ES335S solid body Gibson with Dirty Finger PU's and a single coil tap switch. The tapped position was a way cleaner sound than my '17 Les Paul Standard with coil tap pots. Big difference. In fact, the coil taps don't get used because the sound can be duplicated with the tone knob or pedals

The pickup routes look very clean and it's all been shielded with shielding paint. And it doesn't have those crooked ass knobs! Well, maybe a little, but that diamond knob pattern looks a lot better than most Les Paul copies on Amazon. Very nice. \m/

Coil tap makes it sound a Tele! I wish I had bought that one instead of the Epiphone. Set neck and looks like a long neck tenon. Those necks you brought, if they are that good you have a good source.

Looks just like a FireFly guitar I have one. Its Decent. Action could be a tiny bit lower it would be better then. tunners are OK that body looks like its on the thin side. Not liking it. the firefly has a thick body

From one Luthier/Tech to another, absolutely loved the way you tackled the whole Unboxing/Review 🤘 etc. We both do about 90% of the same style, approach when it comes to diagnosing what the problems are, upgrading (or if it's necessary). I got the same guitar. It was horrible! Wouldn’t stay in tune. Couldn’t get the intonation right. Every knob was at a different height. One was twice as high as the rest, one was touching the body. The neck wasn’t straight and the truss rod was backwards. Pickups sounded like garbage. I wasn’t going to waste the time or money to try and fix all that.

To me there’s a difference between ok for the money and just crap. The one I got was just crap. I enjoy working on them and upgrading and fixing things but this one was just too much. It’s almost as bad as the Glarry. As far as your intonation, check the scale length. It may be short. You can always sand the saddle to make it thinner. I’ve heard that works. Keep up the good work.
