Can you try it with wrapping the piece of hair around the top part of the ponytail? And the knot bun was too thick to be honest. Try a tiny bit less hair. Maybe the 2 braids made the knot too big. Try one braid when someone has thick hair like hers. I’m assuming that’s why the base was too thick. But yes, can you try wrapping a piece of of around the base ? I’d love to see you do that💜
