That's so sad with the dead little budgie. I have one. She's my little buddie. They are amazing little parrots. They are just as great as an Amazon, Macaw or Cockatoo. They are great talkers too. I have my budgie and conures.
Excellent Video Ricky. I love the Animals. Such a shame to see the little Thorn Devil but it is what it is you know. But I was happy when you showed another one. They look awesome. Good Job to you both 👍😉 ps I couldn't stand those fly's lol
Love it! Well done all the way around... Being the critic that I am... here are some very superficial opinions. LOVE that you do not over sensationalize. You seem genuinely happy to be in the field and that is plenty. Some are comparing you to Steve... I don't see it, you have your own flare. Although somewhat boring that you spend so much time on each species, I wouldn't trade it for nothing.. well... maybe more species, LOL. Nevertheless, I like that you take your time with them, discussing their habitat, feeding habits, differences in patterns/color over their range. Really well done on that. Field herping is becoming more popular than birding. In that, those of us that are true field herpers absolutely love this kind of content from somewhere we can only dream of going. Last thing, I love that you keep it real (snapped that snake that was run over and still alive, keeping it real man, you did that thing a favor, and discussing aboriginal's eating sea turtles, it is what it is man). I'm a die hard herper since my first snake bite at 5... now I'm 49. Keep up the great work. Subscribed and looking forward to every video.
Man, I miss great wildlife content like this. There is nothing like this on tv anymore. I look forward to all of your videos. The shots of your Australian landscape are seriously awesome. Videos are perfectly edited. Not to mention the close up shots of the wildlife you find. Thanks for all the hard work and time spent. This is the perfect way to celebrate my 420 holiday! But damn, them flies!
Do I watch the video despite the flies? Yup, but I'm counting this as aversion therapy. I can't stand flies, got bit by a big black one and I'm apparently allergic, the bite swelled up tennis ball sized. I'd be slathered down in fly repellent. Love the videos, the scenery shots, the calmness you have working with the animals. Don't like the flies though! I imagine they've always been there, so did Irwin wear fly repellent?
Really enjoy your videos! Specially now, being stuck at home, I can live vicariously through you. I was fortunately to live in your beautiful country for a few years, documenting and photographing native wildlife. Cheers, mate!
Pygmy mulgas and that moloch were the best. Those flys though how are you not wearing one of those stupid net setups. Would do my head in lol Keep up with the awesome videos mate.
U dont have to take advice from me, but I reckon u should start off with an intro from your house or in the car travelling to ur location informing us on where your going and what u going to be doing. I think it would cool👍but I can't tell ya what to do u be u dude I was just thinking it would make a little for sense and give ur viewers an understanding on what ur doing. Still love your videos tho dude keep up the AWOSOME work
thanks mate, I used to have a massive collection of venomous snakes and monitors but I sold them all a few year ago before starting to travel regularly. I’m going to get some back soon though
Ricky Mack I have an Akubra, too, but I went the cowboy road and got the Golden Spur. Had to get it reshaped a bit to suit my head shape, now I love it. Akubra makes good hats for a fair price!
Australia is beautiful!! I don't know how you deal with all the flies.. I just started watching your videos after seeing you with Chandler! It's cool to see all the different species you have there.
Hey Ricky, on your treks do you ever come across any Australian Aborigines? Love your vids!! Thanks for sharing!!! When I was a kid returning home from a romp in the surrounding fields, my mom would make me empty out my pockets on the porch. No snakes, horned toads or lizards allowed in the house!! LOL Anyway, thanks again!!! Love from California!!!!
Ricky, I thank you for taking me on the journey in this video with you and your girlfriend and putting up with those horrible flies the one insect I cannot stand. I loved the spiny devil lizard. Cannot wait for another great video. Oh by the way what is your girlfriend's name?
Oh my flip Ricky! You're right they are taking over thine soul! Gosh does insect repellant even WORK?! I feel as if you'd have to take a full body soak for it to have some effect... Love me those Thorny devils. Such unique and beautiful reptiles. If I could I'd have one as a pet.
I don’t use insect repellent cause it feels weird on my skin, but i don’t think it works out there anyway. Those flys are a breed of their own there’s no stopping them Lol
Remember he's still only getting started, but for a bloke who only started RU-vid a couple months ago he's gaining subs pretty fast. Last time I watched a video was a week ago and he had 2k now he's on 3k!!!
Still enjoying all the content Ricky hope the clips kick off a great career for ya bloke Really impressed , bye the way I really feel ya for the fly's I ran a chicken farm (eggs) an hour north of Perth well you can imagine . stay safe buddy
