I mostly shop at Goodwill, Salvation Army, Deseret Industries, yard/garage sales, FB marketplace, estate sales and other local thrift stores. RU-vid just had this video on my list today 😀 I am in Central California too - we live next to dairys, almond trees and are in a really small town - no thrift stores - so I have to travel for any of them. I have found a lot more items at estate sales than thrift stores lately. Look forward to checking out your other videos.

Nelly, I know what you mean about grab it then think about. I was at Mission Thrift looking at a set of vintage glasses to complete my set. I hesitated for a moment and a woman was watching and swooped in on them without a word. I haven't gone thrifting since. I hope to run into you at an estate sale. My favorite is Larry Peters. Cheers! I’m in Fresno, and slim pickings is an understatement, I have not seen anything good in months and everything is too expensive

I agree! It’s been very difficult to find something of value and the prices are getting ridiculous. It makes it less fun to shop. We had to venture out to new stores to find things for my home and resale. Check out my two recent videos where I found some new stores in Fresno. You may have some luck. I live in Tracy California and our goodwill doesn’t have much. What stores do you like best in the valley? I have to say that French Victorian dress teapot was beautiful. Loved it

Oh my goodness! I have been watching the news with the Fires in Tracy, I hope you and your family are safe!!! Is your home alright? The stores around us vary, sometimes we find great things at the Salvation Army, sometimes at the Goodwill, and sometimes we hit other lesser known stores. I usually tell in my videos which stores we go to and the things we find. Honestly, if you can find a Deseret Industries, they have the best prices of them all! I am in Tulare California and thrifting here is getting thin and too expensive. I am getting broken items too and I believe they are throwing the packages around or opened with missing content.

😮 That’s terrible!!! I say a prayer now every time we ship something because we’ve had so many things broken or “lost in transit”. It’s incredibly frustrating and it appears to be all the shipping methods! We’ve had difficulty with all of them. A little known secret...as you are pulling gently on the tape, use a q-tip soaked in goo gone and go along the edges of the tape. Go slowly, and pull the tape as the goo gone loosens the sticky. It takes a bit of time. You have to go very slowly with some pieces, but well worth it. Give it a try. It's almost always worked for me! 😊
