Best way to explore Bangkok is simply to get lost, take the hyper modern skytrain or subway to a random station and just explore. =) After 15 years in bangkok working and living here i've only seen a fraction of all the 50 districts. Its extremely safe and clean and affordable to as a bonus, i can walk down 4 am i the morning in the thai middle-class area i rent a condo in, take out money in a atm and shop and buy food and dont even have to look over my shoulder.

It's so clean especially for a large city and compared to most of the USA. Do they have penalties for littering or are people just respectful of their surroundings and the environment? Are bugs/mosquitoes a problem? Another great video!!

Very clean here. To answer your question, it's a bit of both. There is a heavy fine for littering, but the Thai people believe in bad karma for doing bad things, like littering. The city also has employees that go around and clean the streets everyday. Bugs or mosquitoes are not really an issue in the city. Once you get to the beaches or the mountains, you find them more. Bangkok is about 3 times bigger than New york in sheer size and almost double the population so its really more than just a "city" there are 50 districts that all are different in some ways. And now last 20 years its very clean and tidy city and hygiene both personal and surroundings are extremely important in Thailand.

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. There are a few options for visas depending on your situation. There are very helpful visa groups on Facebook. The people on there know more than we do, we recommended following them and asking there 😊

start with a simple touristvisa.. u get 60 days free from start and can extend those +30 days for a small fee. Do a short trip over to a neighboring country by air train or bus and u get 60 new days as a tourist and extend those 30 days You can stay total 180 days a year on a tourist visa in the Kingdom of Thailand.

@gmm5550 that depends on of they want to go with the new DTV, you cannot apply for it while in Thailand, you have to apply at a consulate outside of Thailand, for example where they are from.

@@TheDufresnes true but just to "stay" there..its most easy with the standard tourist visa..180 days tourist visa a year isnt bad..many expats live half year in Thailand and half year "at home" or in neighbouring lao vietnam cambodia indonesia.

Chris, you're so right! It's good to help people when they are down on their luck! 😢❤😊 I have helped in the past also; however here in America you have to use discretion. You unfortunately come across scammers who make thousands per day, pulling on heartstrings of innocent bystanders! That is why I offer food, but not money. Things may be different in Bangkok though. I personally am in a similar situation as many Americans. I make enough to pay rent,bills and get a few groceries. Otherwise, I am living paycheck to paycheck. Hopefully, right decisions will be made this November so prices can normalize. Saving money after getting paid is next to impossible! Praying things get better for all of us. Thank you Shayna also for giving those less fortune some much needed assistance. You guys have a big heart!!❤❤❤

thailand has 6% povertyrate and under 1% unemployment america has around 13% poverty rate nowadays Most temples give food and housing to poor people in thailand and healthcare cost 30 baht..If they are registered as "poor".

For sure, after being to the farm in Costa Rica and learning about how they run it with the local family and what they are doing there I do have mixed feelings about it. They do also employ the locals and give them a steady job in every country they have locations in. So it's definitely a toss up.
