Sort of a nice mix of E50M and leopard 1 with great dpm and view range. Very pleasant tank to play without having a bulletproof turret. This is how WG should buff tanks!
Don't worry, they will nerf it back in at most half year to state worse, than it was before 1.20, after enough peopl will sink credits, blueprints and free xp.
I never played this tank before the buff. I painfully pushed through the line only really enjoying the Cromwell and comet, but it was one of the most painful grinds I’ve done. I hated the centurion 7/1 so much that I just never bought the AX and sold the tier 7/1 after researching the AX. I actually forgot they were buffing it until my buddy told me about it so I decided to buy it. I put vents, gun rammer and experimental hardening and I absolutely love this thing. I think it’s a very competitive tank now and I think they buffed it very well. Armor is still mediocre so I don’t think it’s OP. But all around, it’s a solid tank now in my opinion
Great they have buffed the cent 1 and 7/1, as I am about to grind through them, although I will have to be quick otherwise it's going to be like the french heavies all over again
Top of the tree starting tomorrow. Trying to decide if I should grind it. Have most of the meds so not sure I would play it. Only really use CS63 and 907 in CW.
As for 6000 bonds for hardening, with no package deals, the bounty hardening is almost as good, and cheaper to move. I'll keep my bonds for vents / v stabs and rammers
Hi Max, congratulations on 3-marking the AX. I haven't played it since it came into the game and then it was okay because it was a new toy. The British MED line is fantastic apart from the AX (pre buff) and my favorite was (and stil IS) the T9 as it actually has a turret you can trust without being OP. The question is why someone should choose AX over LEO 1 or E50M? Glad WG did something about AX and it seems like they got their balance right. Karelia is fine or even great map in my world. Sure both flanks are shock points based on their design. You don't need to win one but both to succeed in wearing down all the resistance that can possibly defend a base. As we can see during your round, your team gave up the entire middle and it's only a matter of time before you lose (from start). Question, why didn't you take the center and use your fantastic view range and gun? Is it so common to find so many "snipers" either sitting in your base or doing like you. How many shots did you hit, or how many tanks did you spot? What you did well was to move, but it was too late because you chose the wrong place from the start. But the right place to stay and take the battle until you lose the game, the right thing to do when you mark a tank. On all my MEDs that have a longer view range, there is a build like "support scout" that is used on some maps e.g. in Karelia. Between the center and the 1,2,3 line, there are tons of places where a Med with a larger view range is effective because there are normally so many snipers (not just triangles) and you have two artys in your team, use them. Just because you are a Med doesn't mean you need to replace a LT in the middle, you have no camo for that. However, the principle works the same way for Meds and HT which have great view range and is about which map and playingstyle you prefer. Have a safe trip Max..

I've only just unlocked this tank and haven't played in it yet. I enjoyed the 7/1 (gun is so nice) so am looking forward to AX now it has been buffed. Just have to wait until i get the bandages off my hand.

The mod makes the aiming circle size smaller so it's more true to the dispersion of the tank. However, it will not increase the accuracy nor will it make you a better player for using it.
I love using British and US tanks so I'll be a bit biased and say I don't have a problem with the buff, not until you have to fought against them atleast, appreciate the upload! This comment's sole purpose is for the algorithm only lol have a good one man!🍻
Ah, my first tank was a Dinky Toys Centurion (and a Mighty Antar Tank Transporter to carry it. ). But as a struggling newbie that is far too high a tier for me, I am more comfortable with my run of Tier 3 Valentine, Tier 4 Matilda, Tier 5 Matilda BP and the Tier 6 Cromwell (Though my performance in the latter is lamentable, particularly as the matchmaker hates me and puts me up against Tier 8 every time. That might be an exaggeration by the way.
How would you compare this to the M48 Patton? On paper it looks to be just flat out better now. Higher dpm, better HE, better accuracy, more gun depression, higher speed, more ammo and better camo. The Patton has better armor, until they load gold then armor is almost non existent.
well i will try your load with stabilizing equipment and if that will not work aider i will just delete this tank cuz so far it is a horrible tank ... like you said : the gun is very very nice ''statistically '' , there is only one problem with it : it mostly shoots after birds .
Meh, I'm pretty sure WG will nerf if after a month or so just like they did with AMX (which was okay but latest nerf killed this tank again, F). Any good player would balance the game 10x better and faster than WG does xD
I haven't played the AX in a while. Wonder if this buffing tben nerfing business is new MO for WG to give people with zero reward tanks chance to be top dog on the battlefield
Did you even watch the video? He said it's a nice buff and did not make it op. However, while a certain % will complain no matter what, WG always seems to create legit reasons to complain, just take the recent patch A: Nerf AMX65 arguably one of the worst T8 heavies, B: as Max said over do a buff (AMX54) ,that EVERYONE else immediately recognized as too much only to nerf it to worse than it was originally. And of course C: nerf a tank because...too many people liked it (Prog65). So while they did some good buffs/nerfs as well, they managed to cloud a lot of people's opinion with the dumbass things. They are their own worst enemy.
This is wg regular tactic, over buff a tank. Player go crazy try to catch the meta, spend free experience or gold to get the tank if they dont have it already. Then wg nerf it back. Amx m4 54 is the best example
If the turret was buffed it’d be OP, IMO but can’t have another OP tech tree tank in the game of reward OP Tanks. My opinion but the game’s moving to pay to win. Compare the Pershing to the Iron Arnie, WG got to make a buck to keep the lights on is the reality
Man you're dead on with your over buffing to then nerf it into the ground 6 months from now. We all know the M4 54 needed to be nerfed, but wow oh wow. Compare the current its stats to what it was before getting buffed when no one played it and behold. It's sad.
