CEO 2019 is a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament in Daytona, Florida Streamed Live at: / ceogaming Brackets: smash.gg/ceo #SmashUltimate #SuperSmashBros #Ultimate
People give them shit but honestly they both are great since both know a lot due to experience, Zero more so is the knowledge guy for Ultimate while Hbox acts as the Hypeman. Together they really do a great job.
I’ve never felt so tense watching an Ultimate set. GGs to both players. The real MVPs are ZeRo and Hungrybox, probably the most professional duo working together. Absolutely nothing felt forced or fake in their commentary, hope to see them more in the future
Even if Leo still beat him 3-1, That Game 3 was by far one of the greatest Smash Bros Matches of all time. Marss's Survival factor basically took that match
Not the biggest expert but imo he didn't play as impressive and clean as Fatality, but that's probably what surprised Leo. His falcon was all over the place with not that many combos but this was such a blast. Especially since everybody was like "the fuck" when he pulled it out after being down 2-0.
Chris 40V he was using the best character in the game when he won with Ike too, huh? How about when he won with Lucina? Best character too, huh? What an absolute clown you are
Whiskey Fists at the time, the hate on characters MKleo played was big, and people would constantly complain about the characters he used as being broken, despite him being the only person that was consistently bringing those characters to semi/finals. This time around, I do think Marss brought a better attitude and mindset than last time these two played in tournament, but that first time, you could tell he was stressed (I mean, of course he was, who wouldn’t be?) Not only that, but after he first played Leo’s Joker, he apparently got upset/salty and complained about Joker sapping the fun out of Smash, which, if interpreted as a dig at Leo playing Joker, could easily be seen as bad sportsmanship. But, again, I think he did bring a much better mindset this time around, and the match was hype af.
Leo serious only lost 1 time this entire tournament and it was one of the most clutch losses in all of smash ultimate? Dudes a beast, we might be looking at a win streak here.
Leo becoming smash 4 zero at this point Edit: I guess the better way to put it is that Leo is STARTING to look like zero dominance. Idk if he’ll be as godly as Zero was but he’s performing so crazy like Zero used too. (I still think Zero could beat Leo if he really tried)
Bigman nah zero during the streak of smash 4 was wayyyy more dominant. Zero went nearly a full year without losing a single tournament. Leo didn't have this amount of dominance until Joker. He was losing sets here and there with Ike, Lucina, and wolf and didn't win frostbite. Zero lost 2 sets in smash 4 prior to the streak ending at mlg and still won those tournaments. Leo isn't even close to the streak of zero
Jonathan Parnes yeah but come on man. As a zero fan even I have to admit he was doing it at a time when the game was unbalanced. When the patches came through he started to lose here and there. Daddy zero still a legend but mkleo is doing it on a different level rn
does this mean Leo is mortal? In all seriousness though, everything about this was amazing. The falcon, the underdog of Marss against the juggernaut of Leo, the commentary from Hbox and Zero, the hecking hype.... Coming from someone who doesn't generally watch esports, this makes me really want to get into esports.
I always thought it would be amazing for Zero to commentate Ultimate & now that it's actually happening, I am quite pleased. More Zero & Hbox commentary please!
8:50 I fucking lost it watching this live it was sooo hype. I did not see the capt coming i was smiling the whole time. A true hero all might lol :D PS i would have CRIED if knee worked at 14:40
@@sakurahollow no it isn't, the tournament was super safe and nobody got hurt. One drunk ultimate player started a fight and was promptly ejected. The level of security was more than adequate and there were cops posted around the venue, as well as a bag check. And I should add, I wasn't even very happy with how the event was run, but a lack of security was not a problem at all.
Simply put, this was amazing. Seeing Captain Falcon in grand finals was amazing, and the end of game 3 was amazing. Great job to both Marss and MkLeo. What an exciting set to watch and what an exciting time to be alive. Also, Zero and HBox both did a phenomenal job commentating. They fed so well off of each other and their interaction seemed so natural.
Timestamps for each game. Game 1: 0:48-4:18 Game 2: 4:51-7:46 Game 3: 8:28-12:26 Game 4: 13:05-17:13 GG to both players. Good commentary by ZeRo and Hbox. And congratulations, Leo.
Still not surprised that MkLeo won the major, I honestly am not impressed that he wins quickly against anyone because let's be real, MkLeo is clearly the best Smash Ultimate player of the world.
Yeah, though Japan did kinda steal his lunch money when he had a tournament out there, but that was when he just picked up joker, so he'd do much better at a Japan major now.
Unfortunately Norm is correct here, sure on stream and his videos are clean, MAYBE if that Falcon Gameplay was brought but as it is now, Fatality CHOKES hard in competition, just truth.
Fatality did say that C.Falcon is definitely not a character you can really secondary since there's so much dedication and work you have to put into him..
If Marss mained falcon he would've won CEO. Falcon is just too hard of a character to secondary. However he is a brilliant counter pick to joker with the out of shield up b's that can ignore jokers shield and down b.
@@NineDarkTales debatable. Fatalitys falcon is easily more optimized than Mars' and he continues to struggle to make top 8s. I think leo just wasnt so used to the falcon matchup and caught him off guard
"Mkleo is a momentum-based character" Then he 3-2 from loser side, goes for a reset, and then 3-0 Samsora and Tweek in both Smash con. 2019 and Evo 2019... Huh, guess that's the difference between an elite smash joker... And a for glory joker.
@@ArrancerLord I'd like to believe that but considering how he handled the situationen I can't. If he repents and shows he's changed then I'd be willing to give him a second chance.
@@tenacity25 I dont think it's that good of a kill option since he grabbed Leo with it at 135% and didn't die. Probably best when its a outta shield option.
4:35 I mean ZeRo, you could if you put lots of training and hard work into it, you were kind of his rival. Sad ZeRo doesn't compete anymore, great streams though.
Leo got 0 to death-ed...THAT’S how crazy this set was. Absolutely spectacular game, both players have nothing but my respect. Can’t wait to see more, love this game and love this community.
This vid is so odd, it features 3 very similar people. Not in personality, but in situation. Hbox, Zero and Leo. Each of these people have been the very best in 3 separate smash games. And each of these people has been considered the villain, hated for their dominance. People chant when it feels like they’re gonna lose, and cheer the few times it happens. It’s strange, seeing what feels to be 3 gods of different generations of smash in one place.
Huuuurr duuuurr. JoKer iS bRoKeN BecASe someone who clearly hasn't won a tournament with any other character WoN a ToURnaMent WitH hIm duuur HEs CarRied!
@@gunslinger9786 I would have to agree. The illegal act of burning something down is pretty broken. But Jokers Arsene is more of a comeback mechanic that became the kill mechanic for Joker
Ending of game 3 and 4 are the most epic Ultimate moments I've ever witnessed, I was on the edge of my seat and just like the crowd. Just hope people now realized Joker isn't broken since Marss managed to take a game (and almost two, that was so close) with freakin Captain Falcon.
