It appears to me he was put in that position without allowing himself to be trained as a world class CEO. This makes him feel OK with the small base he has in Ghana forgetting that in his level of comfortability, there are other businesses that are also springing up. Care is not taken, his will be obsolete within the next 10 years.

He is currently comfortable with his small base in Ghana. If he is a serious CEO, by now, Kantanka showrooms should be in every region of Ghana. Also, he would have had programs in place - inter school competitions etc- that focuses on winning the young ones to buy a Kantanka vehicle when they find job after school. Lastly , the company’s adverts should have been number 1 on all TV and radio stations. How can a CEO being interviewed be checking his cellphone? A terrible body language he also presented.

But what most people do is they get the best education and training to prepare them for their future job and it looks like it wasn't done in this case. Nothing new here. Historically, second generations have mismanaged wealth bequeathed to them. I hope he breaks that cycle and put himself in that minority bracket of second generation kids who have done better with the resources handed them. Asking why these guys didn’t contact established global car brands as opposed to an upcoming indigenous car manufacturer who needs the publicity smacks of an ineffective CEO.
