CCP probably shouldn't have chosen this face/voice to push their propaganda. The bill was signed a while back and TikTok has has a finite amount of time to find a buyer.
No it isn't, all that they have to do is sell it to literally anyone else. The US is concerned about CCP control over tik tok. So either sell it or it gets banned simple as that.
Yeah they have two options. But I don't think they gonna sell it anybody because, even if ByteDance wants to sell the app, the CCP won't allow them to do so. The CCP must agree first.
@@DidYouKnow-ledge well I agree with that, the CCP would rather have it burn than give up their toy, so it's very likely it will get banned. It doesn't have to be, but the CCP will probably make that choice. Also just some things about the CCP China is that they also ban American media companies too like google, RU-vid and Facebook to name a few. So they don't have much legs to stand on to complain if they choose the choice to not sell and get banned as a result.
They have an uncanny habit of buying or selling stocks immediately before passing laws to legalize, ban, or mandate things. Sales and manufacturing of light bulbs were outlawed, but not before Pelosi and much of her colleagues bought stock in the supply chain that builds LED bulbs. The agencies that regulate and distribute energy within the US are riddled with high-level officials and executives who invest in companies they have oversight over, so they have every incentive to make policy, pricing, and regulatory decisions that directly affect their own wealth. 0bama’s worth skyrocketed by a factor of 200, not counting whatever wasn’t declared. In fact, there’s only one president in living memory whose value did NOT increase significantly while in office, and in fact is decreased by a substantial amount. Not saying he hasn’t made a shrewd deal here and there, but that has to count for something. This corruption has grown like a cancer, and it’s high time we start addressing it. No matter who their friends are, no matter the party, no matter how unpopular it might be, this country needs to start moving these people out of power and setting up ways to prevent this from continuing.
They did: youtube shorts and facebook reels. They still lost and now resorted to bribing politicians. The Congressman from Nebraska admitted that they didn't really care about how evil tiktok/shorts/reel is but only did it because they couldn't censor the pro-palestine propaganda on the platform like they did for shorts and reels.
