Good to know that your guest is a big part of my teens. Petrol pumps were actually creepy places. My mother used to drive & she only went to Aga Khan wala petrol pump because it was the safest. Shell brought neatness, one stop shop & the novelty of getting wind shield cleaned spotlessly. Surf Excel launch was huge! People got plain white bags of washing powder & then later they reviewed the product. The ad was in itself so mazaydaar, introducing reusable container with tag lines like "nut rakhein ya bolt, matar rakhein ya butter"

👍 my mind have been completely blown away by last few minutes of the interview. The guest was spot on identifying our core issues and their solutions. As opposed to any other corporate guy, he truly loves his country and nation. If someone from establishment here then please consider this guest for our prospective future leader. I really wish him to lead our country as he has led his company across the globe. Despite being a multinational employee, his heart still beats for Pakistan and nice to see a true gentleman patriotic Pakistani in commanding position of a corporate giant. #MakeTheGuestHeadOfStatePakistan 👍😊

There is an issue that I would like to point out since I am working in the plastic sector. Pakistan plastic manufacturing company are using recycled plastic resin in their manufacturing for a long time. Client do not have such knowledge as it is not transmitted unless the client belongs to sensitive industries such as food and Pharma. Plastic companies have been collecting waste and turning it into recycled resin. That recycled resin is mixed with virgin resin to reduce cost which impacts quality at the end. Pakistan Plastic Manufacturers Association can confirm my statement as well.

It’s good to see a positive perspective and optimism from a CEO of a large company. Although there is a slight improvement in the country but the real growth will happen when there are better systems, population control and quality technical education. The decline in values and morality is primarily because of insufficient income for the majority of people. Countries prosper when leaders as well as their people take ownership.

I actually like how he shed his opinion on GPA, but can we ask him to remove GPA requirement from Unilever tests?
@ramisirfan4741
@ramisirfan4741 2 года назад
There is a GPA requirement of 2.4 or 2.5 I believe, which just shows that the student cares the bare minimum. 90 to 95% of the companies ask for a GPA of 3.0 or higher :)
@alhabtoormotors4221
@alhabtoormotors4221 2 года назад
@@ramisirfan4741 tbh at that point might as well remove it, no one gets a lower GPA and still is able to make a proper job application unless there's a good reason
@ramisirfan4741
@ramisirfan4741 2 года назад
But then students who are atleast trying should be given some payback for their efforts. 3 GPA is moderately difficult to achieve. So 2.4 is a low enough bar so as to ensure a hard working student and pay back the students for their efforts as well. Along with the fact that there has to be some sort of metric at the bare minimum that needs to be looked at as at the university level that is the only metric for a student
@nycto16

This was a great episode. Just one thing though, many of these C level Executives do not really understand that what's going on and do not really understand the poverty in Pakistan or maybe they don't want to. They don't realize that 2005 main Jo aik recent graduate ko pehli job main salary milti thi utni hi salary aj bhi mil rahi hai. Jab k inflation has gone way up. So Sir, no we're not doing well and we definitely can't save money. Jis hisaab se companies yahan grow kar rahi Hain aur jis hisaab se mehngai ho rahi Hai, us hisaab se salaries nahin barh rahi jis ki waja se yeh Jo gap hai rich and poor Ka wo ziada se ziada wide hota jaa raha hai.

I feel there is no difference as far as I know, I don't have any data to share, but in subcontinent people mostly have same family culture...so I don't think there is much difference in spending and saving habits. What I think about this podcast - don't take it seriously...very loose talk and he seems very much disconnected from ground realities.
