Assembly of the KIT and a printing process. In a smaller printer it is basically the same. The pump can also be placed horisontally. Order at stoneflower3d.com
I use simplify 3-d as my slicer. Do I need to adjust my layer thickness and if so, how do I determine what thickness it should be. I am using the double flange barb that came installed on the printhead in the kit.
Trying to figure out how to make your extruder work with lulzbot taz 5 printer but I do not have a clue as to where to start. I have built the adaptor for the print head but now I don't know how to proceed., I don't know what to do with the CURA profile the TAZ 5 uses CURA but it is a forked version from the Ultimaker version so I am lost-any ideas on where I might start? Hello, Marco. You will need to set some value for the filament diameter + corresponding number of steps per mm (we have an online calculator to estimate this parameter here www.stoneflower3d.com/support/ceramic-3d-printing-kit-and-print-head/) of filament in your slicer. Also correct nozzle diameter. This is enough. In the firmware you only need to switch off the heating of print bed and temperature control for extruder (quite often it is enough to set temperatures to 0 in the silicer). Feel free to contact me via info@stoneflower3d.com
Yes, it does. The feed rate is defined by the ram extruder, and print head just have to run simultaneously at some suitable speed. In the KIT you can control it using "acceleration" regulator of the control unit.
do you have examples of adaptors for other 3d printers? I have a taz 5 and am wondering if there are any examples on how to approach retrofitting this print head to my printed. I already own the print head with the version2 controller
@@AnatolyBerezkin ANy suggestions of what needs to be considered? Approach? I imagine that the basic filament extruder assembly will be removed and the ceramic extruder will take its place, which is obvious, but are there any suggestions as to placement as it relates to the filament extruder's original placement? Also, if I was to buy your printer, would I receive any discount based on me already having the extruder set up or do you offer any discount for educational use? AM excited to get this up and running.
