Lesley could please tell me what you added to your porcelain slip to decreased the shrinkage when firing? I heard 5% but I couldn't hear the rest.

Wow. You know there are people in clay who do fine art. Being an artist is all about your personal work, never about pleasing anyone else (nor does one need to explain the work as she graciously does). Whrher you identify as a crafty lady making rainbow mugs for fairs or as a functionalist potter has nothing to do with it. The onlt pottery that isn't self indulgent would be some of the African women potters I've met or seen who make all the strictly nessecary household storage and cooking vessels at all used in the area. Your the snob and that's the definition of selfindulgence.
