What a great video! Explains every tool clearly with an example as well. Your voice/tone was pleasant and not boring. Thanks so much. Total beginner here. Wanting to make small planters for my succulents.
thank you! I am starting with air dry clay right now and I didn't know that the plastic tools were not good for it so now I am switching to metal and wood.
your the best artist ever!!!! i love you artwork so so much i going to give my followers a recommendation to your channel following your tutorials and steps make art so much easier and fun thank you so much for making your videos you are a pure legend!!!!!
Thank you for this video! Pottery teachers usually do not spend some time with their students to teach them the kinds of tools and their usage. We are supposed to understand through practice (that's what my teacher keeps saying) and be inventive in using whatever helps as a tool. This is correct but I think a small tutorial like that would be very useful for beginners!
0:48 I sliced my thumb open doing that with a metal rib. I think that's a talent right up there with tripping over my own feet cuz I haven't heard that happening to anyone else.
Amazing Video! I focus more on Drawing and Painting and want to learn more on claywork. I love your Video! I tell all my art students to follow you and your amazing artwork!
Hey there! I'd like to learn more about when to use certain tools. I often see potters using a variety f tools as they are trimming/ building a piece at the wheel, as if each tool has an individual and more precise function for the job at hand.
