@@g-pot8148 This is not the case. There are air-dry clays available that have been specifically formulated for use with food. Secondly, you can seal your finished pieces with a food-safe sealants or glaze.
O o i thought i can make ceramics with DAS and use it for food. Please tell me the name and brand name for regular clay to make ceramics for practical use. I am in Pakistan and amazon is not working here. Il have to buy from market . It DAS is available here others would be also if i seach them
great video thank you. I want to create very big sculptures but there are no kilns in the size I need and I live in a big city and I can not fire it in the woods. what should I use that doesn’t need kiln but is strong enough and not fragile?
For air dry clay I used acrylic paint. And because you can't use it for food you can use any top cover (varnish or something). You can't use acrylic paint on ceramics. Ceramics is fired on a min 1050 C and acrylic paint can't handle it. Basically nothing except glazes can. Hope it is helpful.
