Gen 1 Hips had the Starboard tail rotors, Gen 2s got a massive power upgrade and the tail rotor was swapped.

Does this handle ok on controller? Kinda like the chinook? I desperately want a Soviet chopper but I don't want smth like the aloutte which is kinda squirlly

Unless you have a way to use the tail rotor, ie rudder pedals, it will be an issue on upon pulling up the cyclic. On low throttle the tail rotor has a lot of torque and you need to be able to negate that until you have forward momentum. It's a great helicopter, but as with all choppers with a tail rotor, they can be a little wild unless you have the controls to tame it. I fly with a HOTAS so don't have much of an issue with it but if you are using an Xbox controller, they may be a different story.

Hi, can I ask how you trim the Mi-17? I know that the AP is not functional, but I am looking in vain for trimming (nose up / nose down), or shortcut. Otherwise the model is super. thank you very much

Its great helicopter but cfg is very bad and theres no way to control normaly.Maybe somone have another cfg? Thanks

I absolutely love this helicopter in DCS so it was very disappointing to see the poor interior texturing. This would have been a quick purchase for me but I just refuse to buy poorly textured aircraft in 2024. I hope they fix it or it will be a pass. When you compare this to what you get with the new Chinook it’s just not worth it in my opinion.
