Cleanse your facial skin with cold water - it works wonders for your skin, giving it a bright glow. Splash cold water on your face first thing in the morning, and when you come back from office, and before sleep at night. Avoid using hot water as it can make your face appear dull. Always use a gentle face wash like Littlleextra Ricebberry Face Wash, infused with black rice water, which is ten times more beneficial than regular white rice water. It maintains your skin hydrated, eliminates excess oil and dirt, avoids pimples, and keeps your face glowing following just one morning wash.
I am using the 2nd face wash bottle and I am glad to inform that ricce berry face wash works well for my skin type so well. The face skin is becoming brighter each day and acne is also reducing.
@@marleta are you saying a biochemist is not a chemist? The word is used to describe a biological chemist. Biochemistry is a specialty field in chemistry (and not the other way around; that would be a chemical biologist). To say a biochemist is not a chemist is like saying an endocrinologist is not a doctor.
Yes queen get that sponsorship!! Sometimes it's annoying to see people sponsored by a product that's completely unrelated to their niche/field of specialty but this is perfect for you. Your descriptions are always spot on and scientifically based! Love your content and hope you're faring well :)
Secure the bag, Kenna! The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is unmatched. I used solely this and moisturizer on my face when my skin broke out badly following a respiratory infection this year.
This is literally one of those videos that I didn’t realize I needed. I find myself wondering the differences between these cleansers a lot. Thank you Kenna! Btw I also use the foaming cleanser as a body wash ahaha.

I use the hydrating cleanser in the morning and the foaming cleanser at night, been doing that for a while and using their products mainly in my skincare routine and I've noticed the improvement!!!!
I use the foaming cleanser at night (a different cleanser in the morning). I have oily acne prone skin and I really love that cleanser! Works super well, doesn't irritate my skin, and keeps my skin hydrated! :)
Never thought to use CereVe as a body cleanser. But, why not. It comes in a huge bottle, with a handy pump and it is pH balanced and unscented. Sounds like a winner all round. I've just finished up a sample size bottle of the foaming version. I like how easily it rinses off.
Hey Kenna! I've used both cleansers but right now I'm using the hydrating one and I love how well it works and helps to retain moisture. It's so cool that you're partnering with brands you really believe in, that's such an amazing opportunity!
I have switched to all Cerave for my skin! I use both cleansers-hydrating one for my face and the foaming one as body wash like you suggested a while back. Stopped using Feminine wash ever since. Thanks, Kenna!
CereVe brand is my go-to brand!! At this point every skin care product I use is CereVe! Face/body wash, body lotion, lotion with sunscreen, and eye cream. Love it!!
I just started using the moisturizing cleanser after watching your video about salicylic acid. It has made my skin much softer, it doesn't break me out or make my sensitive skin itch, and it has really moisturized my skin. It's awesome because I really struggle with my skin and finding products is tough.
You should do a video on the generic brands of these cleansers as well as the other big cleansers. Like the Walmart and target versions of cera ve/cetaphil/neutrogena etc. and how they differ and stuff!
Agree. I don’t understand why people use anything else. Or at the very least anything more expensive. I don’t see the point. I roll my eyes SO HARD at expensive cleansers like the Youth To The People Kale one ($36?????). I would even think $25 is expensive. But $36?! Girl. It’s a cleanser.......
@@FuriedHearts it's all because marketing makes people think those other ones are better and there isnt much education about skincare. It's all about brands and colour and fragrance which is terrible for your skin. Kenna really tries to change that but from her views it's clear that people care more about that 200 face cream than the cheaper product that works better and is way cheaper
@@birleygaps9011 I use the hydrating one and pair it with the CeraVa daily moisturizer. Its amazing 👏. I go without makeup most days now because of this stuff. I use it once in the morning and once at night. Its literally my only skin care routine lol.
My kids and I use the hydrating cleanser! I love it for my sensitive/dry skin and I love it for my little ones because it’s the only facial cleanser that doesn’t burn their eyes!
I use the Cerave hydrating facial cleanser as the second step of my double cleanse. Love ❤️ this facial cleanser. I have also used Cerave SA, which contains salicylic acid 2%. This is a great cleanser as well.
Thank you for the transparency and putting the paid promo on the screen! I think most consumers don’t have a problem with it/are happy when someone they watch has a partnership, but it can be frustrating if it’s not clear so thank you!
WONDERFUL REVIEW, THANK YOU KENNA. I WILL BE PURCHASING BOTH CLEANSERS THIS WEEK . THE FOAMING FOR THE BODY, THEY HYDRATING FOR THE FACE. AGAIN, THANK YOU.
So I fell in love with CeraVe because of the Think Dirty app. However, the first (and only other video) video of yours that I watched was the Think Dirty video 😂 I got nervous that maybe CeraVe wasn't what I was hoping to be. I'm so glad you posted this ♥️
I'm tempted to buy their Hyaluronic acid serum next, but I currently use their hydrating cleanser, a moisturizer, and then their mineral facial sunscreen. I have superrrrrrrrrrrrrr insanely dry skin.
Hi Kenna, Love the CeraVe Cleansers. You mentioned in a previous video about using the Foaming Face Wash on the body. Thank you!! I started using this all over the body and Love it!! I also use Hydrating Cleanser in a.m. and Foaming Cleanser in p.m. when I’m wearing a lot of makeup. Love your videos!!
i have oily and acne prone skin and that foaming cleanser was drying to me! it felt like it stripped my skin. weird cause i have oily skin, i know. it may be bc i use acne medication. i use the hydrating one though and have for over a year and i looooove it!
I have acne pron redness skin..I’m also treat my acne problems nowadays. Now I use oil control face wash.I think it’s good.but my skin is super dry now.what is the best one use for me?
Also I wish Hyram would notice you and give you some recognition because I think your guys’ skincare philosophies are similar. Ima start sending you @ him
Rose Elizabeth yeah I know that’s the beauty of different people existing on the earth!(: they’re both very scientific and ingredient driven so I’m not sure what point you’re making
@@aaronfuegopop Kenna has credentials. The point being made is that Hyram is a hack and it's inappropriate to compare the two because he isn't even on her level.
Sigurjon543 regardless of your so-called “levels” that you’re referring to, id still like it if hyram acknowledged Kenna’s channel so that she could get some of the recognition she deserves
I really enjoy your product reviews... I have eczema, and my daughter had dry reactive skin. I am going to try both for face and body. Appreciate your mention of PH balance. I have a different cleanser for feminine washing, body washing, face washing, etc. It's nice to see a reputable consumer offer evident products to try for over all skin care. Literally scalp to toes. Thank you again!
Foaming facial cleanser! I also use the CeraVe SA cleanser and lotion for my keratosis pilaris. Unfortunately sometimes it’s not strong enough for flare-ups so I have to use an AH lotion or Ammonium Lactate lotion. I also have a glycolic wash on hand that I use on my arms/legs when flare-ups are particularly bad.
My 4 year old son has this. His Dr told me just to use dove babywash on his flare-ups but it doesn't work. Right now they are particularly bad. What would you recommend for him
I love the Hydrating. I have even used it more than twice a day (when I had to remove a product that caused a reaction) and it did not wreck my skin barrier. This has never happened before. I also use it as a hand wash, because my hands look like lobsters if I use soap or detergents a lot. But it will *not* remove viruses, which have a lipid "wall" (correct me if I'm wrong) that needs to be broken down before washed off.
This will remove the virus from your hands if you do proper hand washing, rubbing all surfaces for at least 20 seconds. Not all viruses have a lipid envelope, though Sars-CoV2 does. This will still break that down as it still removes oils and dirt from your skin.
I use the foaming cleanser as a second cleanse at night and as a body wash. I previously used the hydrating cleanser for my AM cleanse, but then a while back I started getting irritation around my eyes from it and had to switch to something else. I had used it for years prior.
I love watching your skincare videos, I’ve been all about getting products that are actually good for my skin. I would love to see a video from you about glam glow products.
Overall, do you like cerave or cetaphil better? I feel like they are very similar affordable brands that have the same target audience. Is there one you recommend more over the other? Or certain products from each? I know you may not be able to answer here because of the sponsorship, but I think it would be a really interesting future video idea.
I had the same experience, but surprisingly, if you use a washcloth with the cleanser, it does feel better more like a non foamy cleanse. The rinse well.
Agreed it really doesn't feel like it's cleaning anything. I've been using it now as the first step in a double cleanse if I'm not wearing a lot of makeup in place of my cleansing oil just so that I can actually get it used up.
they’re not? :/ i only use cruelty free brands and cerave is the only cleanser i’ve ever used because i love the formula so much. but i really do not want to support the brand if they aren’t...... anyone got any cruelty free similar cleanser recs? 😅
@@demidesiree1486 I love the Curology cleanser but I think you have to have a subscription to your "custom formula" be able to buy it...but if you do it's actually not expensive, super gentle and cruelty free. I wonder if you can purchase it by itself from them.
Love these videos! I would love to get your views on Bare Minerals products, cause their branding is all about using minerals as the components for make up and I'd love to know what difference does that make, and if it does at all lol. I use the powder base cause it's very light and I could never ever in my 29 years of life find a creamy base that feels good on my skin, but then again, how good are these products really? Anyway, love your channel! xx
@bachir lmadi i actually switched to the smoothing cleanser, since it has salisylic acid, and it had helped my skin a lot! But I think the hyderating cleanser works for combination skin as well. It is very soft and good for the skin💕
I had the same issue until I started working into my skin with a washcloth, rinse the washcloth and then repeat to get off your skin. Rinse well and no more breskouts.
Just bought the hydrating cleanser a couple of days ago before seeing your video, haha! So far I really like it, doesn't make my skin feel tight after washing but I still feel clean
I think I have combination skin, as I am quite oily on the nose and forehead but dryer more on the edges of my face. I am prone to eczema but mostly on my arms, should I get the Hydrating or Foaming??
Ive had both hydrating cleanser and foaming cleanser and i found out that hydrating cleanser work best for me ( face ), when i try the other one ( foaming cleanser ) my skin was irritated and ive got some pimpels. Now my question is : Can be this beacuse one have niacinamide and other dont ??
Cerave no longer seems to be available in Western Australia. Such a shame because it’s my holy grail! Would love your thoughts on how Cetaphil compares to cerave!
I would really like to try the hydrating one, as i tend to have dry/sensitive skin. But the question is, does it remove (light) make up as well? I don’t like to use too many products, and i was wandering if this product can substitute the cleanser (that i also use as makeup remover) that i use at the moment.
What are your thoughts on the Cerave SA cleanser? I have acnegenic skin and was using the is Clinical Cleansing Complex. I’m looking for something with a lower price point if possible.
@@stumples30 you wouldn't want to use that cleanser daily so. Perhaps try the foaming cleanser 😊 in another video by Kenna she doesn't recommend salicylic acid
Please do a review of acti labs cleansers and face care, they claim their products have studies and research behind them and there all supposedly 100 percent active with what they do. It’s expensive and I use them for my acne I used to have, but I want to know if the products are worth the price and wondered what your thoughts were on their products. Been watching you for ages and love most of your videos and have learned a lot from you.
hi, i will start off by saying that i dont have a big knowledge in skincare, although i tried to change that, i have oily skin and i was thinking about usinh foaming cleanser by cerave, which moisturizer would you recommend for me? also, thank you for this video, i didnt know the differences between those two cleansers
I have been using the inkey list HA acid and Iunik centella calming gel and I have oily combination dehydrated acne prone skin ! It's been a month and I have seen my skin is less oily and have less break out ! Over all I feel hydrated without being clogged my pores! 💕
I have no idea why but I get a bad rash every time I use any CeraVe product! I was so disappointed because I really really wanted them to work for me. Any one else?
CeraVe is not available on the ground in my country (Belgium), and I don't want to mess with online ordering (and shipping). I use Nivea instead. Yes, most things are with fragrance, but I have dry skin and it's the best line for it, IMO. I have tried the blue tub CeraVe once and it could not hold a candle to the Nivea blue tin, for me personally. It's something about the petrolatum in there that does it. Hey, you have to do what works. I don't generally use cleansers as I do not wear make-up. I am extremely dry and just use water, once a day.
Which nivea do you use? Just the regular or one of the moisturizer. I am looking for like proper face care. I only have nivea micellair water to like remove make up
@@dutchik5107 I am extremely dry in the face, so I use the "old-fashioned" blue tin to seal in all my other moisturizers and serums that I use (generic). Do *not* use that tin if you are not extremely dry because it will be too oily. But there is a "soft" version that they do (white tub) and that is a good moisturizer for normal skin. My mom uses it. It's very lightweight. I also use the dark blue bottle body lotion. I have normal to dry skin on the legs. I think everyone can use that one and it is an amazing body lotion. Nivea goes from white bottle (light) to lightblue bottle (less light) to dark blue (heavier). There's a system in that! Other than that, I don't use much of the "fancier" Nivea moisturizers that they have put out; they won't touch my dry skin at all!
I've tried these but is it bad that I like clean and clear better? I don't have sensitive skin so it never bothered me.. I miss the tingling refreshing feeling of my old cleanser lol however I LOVE cerave moisturizer
I have one question. My aunt brought for me a CeraVe hydrating cleanser. but that one is for dry to normal skin. I saw all hydrating cleanser but there is no cleanser for normal to dry skin. Is this one good for me I have dry skin?
Hi Kenna! I really hope you can help me, I currently have both cleansers and the hydrating cleanser sort of burns/stings around my nostril and cheek area. My skin is combo, more dry around my cheeks and oily t-zone. I don’t have any active breakouts in the area where it stings, so I’m not sure what can be the problem? The foaming cleanser causes no pain, so idk if I got a bad bottle. I also wanted to mention that it also stings in those areas when I apply a mineral sunscreen to my face, but I get no stinging when I apply a chemical. If you can please help me out 🥺 Thank you, I love your videos! 💓
I know I'm not Kenna, but in my personal experience, it couldn't hurt to try. It might actually help in the long run. I used to have super oily skin, but I think what was actually happening was that I was using products that stripped my skin too much and then my skin was over-producing oil to compensate. I switched to the hydrating cleanser and making sure I always use a good moisturizer, and my skin has balanced out a lot.
Jane Doe thank you for the reply ! I’ve actually been using the foaming cleanser and noticed my skin getting even more oily . I am going to give the hydrating cleanser a try!
Kenna i was watching your old video on ordinarys pigmentation line where you mentioned that vitamin c has proven to be effective in reducing the pigmentation around the eyes.can you plz tell me is it okay/ safe for me to apply the LAA powder mixed in my toner around my eyes on my dark circles.i am very desprerate when it comes to reducing the pigmentation there 😔.if not which one do you recommend? when you mentioned that vitamin c helps in reducing that it made me a little hopefull plz reply thank you.
Hey guys, I'm currently using the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and it really causes me breakout or maybe I'm just purging. But it's almost a month and I don't see any difference or made something on my face. Now I'm planning to purchase for the Foaming Facial Cleasner. Help me please!
I used to use the foaming cleanser since i have oily skin, but i accidentally bought the biggest bottle of the hydrating cleanser and i dont know if its okay for my oily skin? what do i do😭
Hey Kenna! I recently switched to the Hydrating Cleanser from the Foaming Cleanser. I switched because the Foaming dried out my face. Now the Hydrating has been burning my face. I dont understand. Are their any ingredients that could be causing this?
I recently got the green hydrating cerave and have used it about 4-5 times now and my face is breaking out! Ive never broke out this bad before. Does anyone know if this Is this normal at first?
Hi I had a question you said in your video you use both how do you apply them which one through out the day? Right now I only have the hydrating facial cleanser but i also wanted to foaming one but there wasn’t in stock where i went so i didn’t end up getting it, can you please tell me your routine for both! Thanks! :)
Cerave is basically sold out at my nearby Walmart 😞 There were only 3 of the foaming facial cleanser on the shelves when I got it. I sure couldn't find the one with salicylic acid.
