I never understood the writers’ obsession with getting Nedim and Cemre together … Cemre fits better with Cenk and Nedim and Ceren fits better together I can’t be the only one who believe this .
It seemed like at both hospital scenes these couples were at like a turning point towards their spouses for the better. The one where Seniz is poisoned and the one where Cenk was shot. Cemre’s speech to Cenk when he was unconscious made me think that she had decided then that she was completely committed to him. Also, it seemed like Nedim and Ceren’s relationship was going to change for the better that night at the hospital because he understood her and soon learned what happened to her and the circumstances of their “marriage”. Also, when he cried with her and held her when she was crying looking at the nursery window,too. Ceren stuck beside him during the whole stabbing set up. And it was clear she didn’t just do it because he had money and power. She did it because they were a team. I thought perhaps there would be a redemption arc for her. They could have worked out if that happened but then they just swerved back to the baby actually being alive, and Cenk deciding to marry her,Cemre, etc. Cemre and Cenk had all this chemistry built between them and it never seemed like Cemre loved him no more than platonically and she wanted justice for him because it was right. Then the writers just made it go that way. And honestly, how could Nedim be in love when he barely knew what it was, barely experienced life too. He had a crush on her, sure. Any guy would especially if he was in Nedim’s position where she was the only female that cared for him properly. But she was just doing her job and she was a good person. Agah paying to get him a wife was crazy like if you all hadn’t kept him stowed away in his room all the time and if he didn’t let most of the household be ran by Seniz , he wouldn’t have this problem. In my opinion, between the two couples, CenCem had a real marriage.
Honestly Nedim and Ceren could have worked out if she wasn’t so mean. I honestly was hoping for a redemption arc with her like it was with Cenk. I wished they could’ve done a third season and Cenk was alive.
