I was way too young to know any better to what I was dancing to back in the 70's - but my body felt and moved to the music. Amazing Cerrone playing those drums.
CHIC and CERRONE WHAT A COMBINATION! ABSOLUTELY ONE OF A KIND. THANKS NILE RODGERS AND CERRONE FOR KEEPING US DANCING. YOU ARE A LEGEND ALWAYS. LOVE YA, EMM
Il manque qui ? Narada Mickaël Walden, le bassiste de "Cool and The Gang", la section cuivre de "Earth Wind and Fire"...peut-être la choriste de Hernandez, comment s'appelait-elle déjà ? Ah oui ! Maradonna non Madonna. Après, une pincée des Pointer Sisters, un zest de Dona Summer et pour finir Diana Ross. Ce n'est qu'un rêve éveillé. Si, j'oubliais : les Bee Gees.
78-83, Chic, Giorgio (Moroder) and Cerrone set the standards of modern dance music. Nowadays electro-pop, nu disco, house productions are just recycling..
Back in 78 - no disrespect to the Gay scene which I was on. Straight guy 18 on the Gay scene - gorgeous and straight. Loved the Gay Scene and French Disco....
something strange going on with this one. cymbal hits out of sync, cow ball out of sync, studio vocals, at end cerrone playing, but drums have dropped out.
Video is out of sync with audio: the video is exactly 2 seconds behind the audio, apparently due to the addition of the TK Communications logo, which is exactly 2 seconds long. Delaying the audio 2 seconds fixes the sync problem (or delete the logo).
This sounds great! My recollection from my disco days in the late '70s was that Cerrone's biggest hit here in L.A. was "Supernature" and that this song "Got to Have Loving" was not as big as it should've been but I bought it and loved it. It was on Polydor Records and the artist was "Don Ray". Is Mr. Ray in this video or was that just a pseudonym for Cerrone?
Don Ray (his real name escapes me but is mentioned elsewhere in the comments. Was the singer. It also says elsewhere he composed this song with cerrone.
If you don't get up and boogie to this, then you need help. Classic Disco combo CHIC and Cerrone! Does it get any better?❤❤ I'd die listening to this 🎉🎉
This theme is original Don Ray who was the lead arranger of cerrone during the time of their best songs, after the departure of Don Ray Cerrone issues lost essence and quality
