Certification privileges of EASA Licensed Aircraft Engineer | CAT A, B1, B2 & C | Duties of AME 

Hi, does mate do know where to get the modules (material) cheap? thanks I am trying to get modules own my own because I don't know £20K to do a 2 years EASA training course

md Riaz I am not sure, which one you are talking about. But EASA B1.1 Part 66 basic course duration is 2 years including your practical training for about 20 weeks. I hope this answered your question. Thanks

Hello, Thanks for your comment. The best way is, 1) You can find a job in Aircraft Maintenance company, and work for 5 years, during which you also complete Modules. And after 5 years u can apply for license. If you dont get a job with your degree, Then, 2) you can pursue AME under Part 147 for 2 years then find a job and work for 2 years so after 4 years u can apply for the job. 1st way is recommended if not then 2nd one. 👍

@@Aviation4GK Hello, many thanks for the reply, I am currently working in an Aircraft Landing Gear MRO company (Part 145) as a software engineer and looking to do the EASA Part 66 B-License modules whilst I'm in this role. Am I able to apply for the license in my current role once completing the modules? Also, is there a time limit as to when you can apply for the license once completing the modules?

@@fahdahmad7103 Hello, Thanks for your comment. As per your current role as software engineer, you will not be able to apply for the license once you complete your modules. You need Aircraft maintenance experience for atleast 5 years to get your license. Once you write modules, the results have validity of 10 years, before which you need to apply for your license. Or they will expire and you need to do those modules again. I would suggest to look for a job in Aircraft Maintenance, and complete your modules. Hope this will help you 👍
