IFC and CSC are the bare min requirements if you want to get into the "advisory" side of bank. I made below mentioned video about the roles/certifications/salary in banking roles. Hi Prashant! thanks for writing in. Let me be frank with you, CSI certification is a bare min requirement if you want to be an advisor in a retail bank. You can check it in any bank's JD. So, doing that can give you an edge in the application but its no guarantee as you can understand. As far as applying from India is concerned, I tried a lot but didnt work for me and almost all my friends without a work permit/PR. Hope I was able to answer your question. Stay safe!

If you want to make a career in bank, you need to choose which bank: Retail, Commercial or other financial institution (MF dealership / investment dealership / Insurance) - Once you have chosen your financial institute, you need to decide on the field, eg in retail bank - you can get into entry level position, advisory roles (like in MF or Financial planning etc) or lending etc. - All these roles need specific courses to be done eg IFC course which you saw in the video is specific in getting a MF licence and hence you can start your career in advisory roles - I have explained in detail about this with salary in my next video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ypqa3EUr4TU.html - Do see this video and it shall help you. b) You should do CSC/IFC if you want to get into retail banking and advisory roles. If you watch my latest video you will get to know about the roles too. - CSC/IFC is mandatory for a "Financial service representative" and "Financial advisor" role. You can't order the physical book and you will have to study online. Exam is remotely protocoled hence shouldnt be a problem Moreover, you will get a good amount of time once you come here to do it since you will be in quarantine and it takes some time to settle here. I am still not settled and looking for something :-)

Hi Ma'am, I would not know any organisation which specifically helps you in a job in banking. Which bank in the world doesn't have a target set for account Managers? Yes they are. Mortgage rates are high now so the target is harder to achieve with fewer people buying homes and so is the case with home equity.line of credits. Look for operations based areas like credit transaction or risk management

Canadian banks look for Canadian experience. Mostly people without that start at entry level and no one can tell me that's not frustrating.

Don't quit ur job in India..come visit and see for yourself. YOY profits are falling for banks. There are layoffs coming. Bank.of Canada will.surely hike the interest rate on September 1st.and that will push us closer to a full blown recession . Just don't go by these RU-vid videos. They make them for $$$$. I am with a major bank I know what is happening

Hi Neha! Insurance usually is commission based. IFC will lead you to a retail bank's advisor's job. While there are some jobs in bank which specialize in insurance but most people I know are the ones who took up those jobs after being an advisor. So basically if you want flexibility of time and salary, take up LLQP. if you want brnach banking salaried job, take IFC which will give you mutual funds License. Hope this helps... take care

IFC or CSC are basic courses to start your basic retail banking career in Canada. Actually, you didn't do it at all because if bank selects you, they will ask you to complete in order for you to sell investment products (which you cant sell without a licence).
