@@Sean_Twomey surgery went amazing. Recovery so far (2 days) has been really good. Mostly sore throat and limited neck movements. But surprisingly not much pain at all.
Hi Sean thanks for sharing your experience. I am set to have 2 level disc replacement in 2 weeks and your videos are extremely helpful. Do you have a link to the video you mentioned that inspired you to move forward with surgery?
Hi, thanks for your comment. Hope your surgery went well or hope it goes well if you're about to have it done. This was the channel that I watched that inspired me and motivated me to record my own experience: www.youtube.com/@wojciechg792/videos Wishing you all the best for your recovery.
Hi Sean, I hope you are doing well. May I ask who the surgeon is who did your op? I'm from the Freestate and for some reason the the neuro surgeons in Bloemfontein only do fusions. So I am on the hunt for someone with experience with disc replacement surgery who would be willing to have a look at my case.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I am doing really well. Thanks for asking. You can send me a private message via this page: posmaymedia.com/contact/ - Sean
Hi Sean. Thanks for your vids. I’m day 3 post ACDR C5-C6 surgery. I’m wondering if you had any clicking/popping in your neck? In US, my followup appt is 2 wks out. Popping started last night but not painful. I appreciate your sharing.
Hi Kitty, thanks for your comment. No, I didn’t have any clicking or popping. I’d suggest asking your physio or surgeon. I had a great physio that answered all my questions and provided great support post surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery and all the best.
@@Sean_Twomey Thanks so much for replying and well-wishes. I have written my question down for my followup with the surgeon 🤓. I’m so happy you’re doing well with your recovery.
@@kittymoore8226 Thanks Kitty, appreciate your kind words. Yes, have made a complete recovery and recently completed the Torpedo Cape, which is a 16km RunSwim event in Cape Town. All the best for your recovery. Glad you found my videos helpful.
Hey, thanks for your comment. Here is my "3 Month Post-Surgery Update" video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SqBpvltzVYw.html Here is a summary of that video. It's been almost three months since my cervical disc replacement surgery, and I'm thrilled to report that my recovery has been fantastic! I've been able to get back to my usual activities like swimming, riding my scooter, and playing guitar without any pain. My surgeon was really pleased with my progress at my follow-up consultation and gave me the green light for vigorous exercise. Unfortunately, I did get sick in May, possibly after my COVID booster shot, but thankfully, it didn't cause any issues with my back or neck. I'm amazed at how well my scar has healed, and this whole experience has taught me to be incredibly grateful for every pain-free day. I hope that helps. Wishing you all the best.
