I just had this done on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018. It's now Friday, the 9th. The only pain I'm really experiencing is from the incision point (they went in through the right side), and some tightness in my shoulders which can get to be a BIT unbearable at times. As long as you stay on top of pain management, and walk to help straighten and lengthen everything out, this is a lifesaver; it was for me.
@@joseanibalberrios2758 Yup! I'd lost all function in my thumb, index, and middle fingers on my left side...couldn't move them at all...and I had a pain a the nerve junction in my elbow that felt like I had someone stabbing me with a red-hot poker, and it never stopped. After surgery, I could move my fingers, and the pain was gone. I still do the physical therapies I was assigned (if I don't, my shoulders start to hurt again), and still have weird pains now and then but, overall, it was a positive experience.

Hello I'm munther 37years .... Are this surgery Bain full??? and how many time i need to go to my life as normal.. plz answer me . I have disc between c4-c5 and c5-C6 Plus L6-L7 perfect vedio pravo
I had a C5-C6 disc replacement 5 months ago and was out of hospital next day, back at work in three weeks. (office based) My neck still has a slight ache, but my arm/shoulder has zero pain and no tingling sensations now. The scar is almost unnoticeable now.
I’m very late to this, but this comforts me alot. I am very young, but unfortunately my C4-C5 is compressing my spinal cord, causing spinal cord deformation and numbness in my hands. If I dont get the surgery done I could lose movement in my left arm. I’ll be getting this surgery at the end of the month.
Same happened with me.Exactly 5 months ago.At 52 yrs old,I was not back at steel construction until 5 weeks latter.Even then I still hurt because I didn't wait out 8 weeks dr orders. But now,I'm so much better.I just wished I had done this surgery sooner.I was in so much pain before surgery.
you should google the implant that I described - "DCI" from the firm Paradigm Spine (youtube messes up links when I post them). The implant simply takes over the job of the disk, and spaces the vertebrae they way they're supposed to be - I "grew" about a centimeter through the operation. I'm almost 49 now. This implant uses no screws - it's a titanium "U" that is wedged between the vertebrae, held in by sheer force of ligaments, and bone growth over time. I love it so far!
I'm still here, 10 years later, I'll be turning 60 in September. Just saw notifications of these replies. My neck is still 100 perfect, I don't even think about the implant. I did get an x-ray, just before the Corona time started, and everything is fine. Best thing I ever had done to my body, I'm not kidding. If anyone is given the chance to get this type of implant, please go for it.
My mum is having a neck surgery on the right or left side in 2 days! I'm scared hoe long does the surgery take? and and how long do you guys think my mum will be there for??
Hey everyone, the poster of this video is a company that makes medical training videos. This is not a doctor. They won't answer your questions. Ask your own doctor, and if you don't like the answer, ask for a referral for a second opinion.
Hi my name is Ken.I had an MRI In 2015 and it showed,I had a Herniated Disc C 5-6.I have gone thru Physical Therapy.I have had 3 epidural shots and nothing helped.I have been avoiding this surgery for as long as I can.I will see a surgeon probably in the Spring and see what he says.I am sure that I will need to get updated MRI"S. I Have pain in the neck the upper back, shoulders and both arms down to the fingertips. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Ken FREEMAN Hi Ken.. I had a two level disc replacement with the artificial disc and i feel fabulous. If your surgeon recommends it, I say do it. I did the epidurals and physical therapy and had the same problems as you with my arms and hands and when I woke up, it was all gone. The recovery is pretty quick and I am so glad I did it. Good luck!!
