This interview opened so many wounds. A tear-jerker. I recognize Ces' trauma and pain from her experience. I used to be journalist covering conflict in Mindanao. Every time may gyera, I and my driver, were immediately sent to the far corners of Central Mindanao. I have to deal with MILF, MNLF, BIFF, and other rebel groups. Every time, I fear for the life of my driver because he has kids. Whereas, I'm single. It took me years to understand the kind of trauma that these kinds of war coverage brought into my life. I am still battling the pain, fear and bad dreams. Also totoo yun, we, the people in the news, have this mentality na kapag may ganap, iniiwan lahat ng gawain para mag cover. Ours is a job that demands not just our perrsonal time but all our sanity. Kaya saludo ako sa lahat ng mga kapwa ko journalists.
Sana our government should be very serious about this MILF,MNLF, ABBU SAYAFF rebels....pero parang hindi naman cla rebels eh....their deeds shows more that they are kidnappers,the government should have wisdom on dealing with this people, and thé military should not deploy New graduates to combat this people, we need competent and experienced military men equipt with new combat technologies/weapons....MNLF/ABBU SAYAFF was traîned since elementary âge, and thé warzone was their playground ....
@@MysticRose99 Ang mahirap kase they might use this particular bill to red-tag activists, indigenous tribes and even journalists and it's already happening now kahit wala naman silang maikaso sa kanila sabihin nalang "nanlaban". With all the intel funds that they have, dapat may plans and even proper process na sila dun into tracking down these terrorists.
@@mariloualbiar5994 Don't lump MNLF, MILF, BIFF and Abu Sayyaf together. The first three were/are legit separatists/secessionists, I've never heard of them kidnapping civilians. Abu Sayyafs on the other hand are just plain -terrorists- thieves.

One thing that makes Toni a great interviewer is that she makes sure that she does a research and background check with the person she'll interview. It's like she's trying to put herself on their shoes so she'll understand them more and that's she knows very well on what to ask and how to reply. 💕

2 decades ago, I was with Eat Bulaga as an intern when a shy, slim and pretty girl named Toni passed by habang nagsusulat ako ng idiot board (di pa uso teleprompter nun haha). Akala ko mahiyain pero game na game at napakain ng raw shrimp dun sa isang segmet (SAKMO). From then, she earned my respect agad agad and i knew na malayo mararating nya. Look at her now, she may not be that active sa mainstream because of the pendemic but she inspires millions of people thru her vlog. Each vid has a message. Thank you TOni for the stories. Also, I just learned D's frm an Egyptian dr.,that Muslims believe that if their religion is Islam, it's their ticket to heaven,and so they can do whatever they wish to do ,good or bad,this is what their quoran/bible taught them.If ur a Christian,they won't respect u ,only few muslims are genuinely good

Ces was one of my most idolized journalist/broadcaster aside from Ms Tina Monzon- Palma...and so glad to see her again. I wish she could go back to the industry soon. This is such an awakening interview.

I was amazed when she said she remained hopeful that they will come out alive... not everyone can say that when they are in the middle of danger. She's so optimistic and her heart is so strong.. i learned so much from this episode of Toni Talks.
It's so sad she was retrenched by ABS after what she has done and endured for them. There's a double standard where people who leave ABS are called disloyal ingrates, while no one makes the same comments when it's the other way around.
Actually she disobeyed ABSs order na wag niya na ituloy yung personal interview niya sa Abu Sayaf leader kasi talagang napaka delikado. Because ABS cannot guarantee yung safety niya and her crew. Sabi lang ng ABS is thru phone interview na lang gawin niya and never pupunta sa kuta mismo ng Abu Sayaf. But she was hard headed at pumunta pa rin siya sa kuta ng mga bandidong Abu Sayaf. Putting her and yung crew niya in mortal danger. It was her fault from the very beginning.

Yep, I'm actually surprised na walang na hotseat sa mha executive during her time , yes she volunteered and signed a waiver but as an employer di mo dapat e.overlook yung risk e experience ng employee mo, if Ces took the other path for sure matagal ng nag sara yang abs, could you imagine kung di na tlga siya nakauwi Abs would just put memorial, twist the story move on.

I was one of many i think thought differently nasty when that kidnap news about her came up., but after watching this interview no boundaries my view to her changed and I admire her for her courage.
I'd rather be the one in pain than my love ones. that's Ms Ces regret in doing to her family. that's why always consider your love ones when you make decisions in life.
