Awesome video! One of the best in flight recordings i've ever witnessed! You made the viewer feel as if they are personaly onboad. Also very informative from educational point of view, useful for the aspiring pilot. Keep up the excellent job thank you so much for sharing your experience with us and i wish you the best in terms of professional goals and ambition, you totally deserve it!
Awesome flight, awesome video! Nice job! The plane looks awesome too! The livery is so much better than the next it had. It's a shame and sad that it's written-off now along with 2 souls... I wish you happy and safe flights!
Well done my friend, I have followed your channel since the beginning,,,watching a 14 year old's love of aviation develop into a young competent pilot...where do you want to go now? civil aviation or the military? I am sure that you will be an asset to whoever you eventually end up working for! Finally at the age of 60, i have just built my own home build cockpit similar to yours in concept although as I am on a pension, I couldn't afford that beautiful throttle quadrant that you have and instead I have the obligatory Saitek quadrants which I have tried to make look a bit more authentic with add on handles. You have been an inspiration to a lot of people, Well done the 'Great |Flyer!'
+TheGreatFlyer it's always a pleasure to watch your videos! I'm always happy to hear from someone who has the same goals as I do, and someone who call the skies: home. ;) Thanks for sharing! Fly safe!
I'm always impressed by you, young man. Your mate is right, the way you handled the Comms with that lady was spectacular. You have all my admiration and a hint of envy :-)
Well Done Demetris really enjoyed this.You have come a long way from my first encounter with you as I watched your plane spotting videos from Skiathos! Keep up the good work.
Nice video and good piloting. Only: If you want the viewers to be able to READ what you present to us as text, then let these lines remain longer. (Rule of thumb: Pronounce the lines you want us to read ALOUD and add half that time as extra ) I admire and love your enthusiasm.( Did 30 years of flying the 172 myself in The Netherlands....) Best of luck !!!
Nice video, very excited and very informative.. PS: Sotiris, we miss you... ΥΓ: Καλο ειναι να αποφευγετε καποιες χειρονομιες σε πιθανα λαθη των ΕΕΚ, ή σε λαθη αλλων συναδελφων... Δε φαινεται ωραιο..
This was fantastic, and such beautiful scenic views-wow! (I am in Texas, USA) Thanks for all the camera views and for making it look easy! So sad to hear the last line, about the owners crashing! Ugh. I am curious what was the cause of their crash, and how many PH/FH did he have?
Also you are not taking the checklist seriously. "Carb heat - slight drop - back TO BOTH...". Take your time and don't rush through it. You are the PIC, nobody can force you to do anything and that includes the controller. If you need time to finish your items then take your time.
Τέλειο βίντεο Δημήτρη συνέχισε έτσι. Έχω μια ερώτηση αν μπορείς να μου απαντήσεις. Πόσο κοστίζει η ενοικίαση ενός Cessna; Θέλω να πάω για παράδειγμα σε ένα νησί, θα πληρώσω την ώρα που θα κάνει το αεροπλάνο στον αέρα ή πόσες ώρες θα έχω εγώ το αεροπλάνο;
There Is a big mistake in turning magnetos off before prop completely stop. I have been told by my instructors (Both ppl And cpl) to wait For the total stop of prop before switching mags off.
@@greatflyer_aviation oh i see. Yeah it may happen when you are used to Airplane without mixture control, for example the p2006t has no mixture control. Anyway great job and congrats for your training 😉😉
Συγχαρητήρια Γιώργο, η πτήση VFR που εκανες ήταν καταπληκτική άντε το επόμενο βίντεο να είναι IFR με επηβατικό αεροσκάφος!!! ΥΓ: Στο τέλος γράφεις για δυο άτομα ένας απο τους δυο ήταν δίπλα σου;;;
CPL is the Commercial Pilot's License required to commence commercial operations. Commercial operations are not allowed on a Private Pilots License (PPL).
Looks like this aircraft had a fatal crash shortly after this video was taken. Crashed into a mountain close to Kalavryta Ski resort in October 2016: aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=190710
TheGreatFlyer shame! whos the guy in your video? Im 42 and Ive just started with a full pro yoke kit and X plane 11 with the view of getting my PPL in the next few years :-)
Scary. Excitable, and with way too much coffee. Clear prop called inside cabin. Taxi speed excessive. Mix of vfr/ifr procedures. Seemed to dismiss right seat crewmember. Would not fly with this crew.
Demetris, I tend to be a bit blunt, yet respectfully I believe my comments raised your attention. I think the procedures there are quite different than here in the US area, which may account for some of the issues that were apparent in the video. I made my comments early in the video, which was my mistake, for there are many good points along the way worth noting. Among these were your discussions about the weather and some thinking of an alternate. As the beautiful Aegean is not my home, your weather wisdom is worthy of consideration. Keep up the hard work. Take queues and lessons from others who present here on You Tube and other places. Mostly, I'd say please relax, slow down, and always question yourself. Then double-check. Thanks for these wonderful videos. Yes, the views were spectacular!
Can I ask, where did you get your PPL from and how much did it cost, Im looking into doing it in the next few years Im based in the UK and its expensive, so I was thinking Greece or USA. Also whos are these planes you are flying, I assume your delivering them for there owners.
Here in Sweden at my local club we never even call "clear prop". If it's obvious that no living being is around the airplane in a big radius then a visual clearance is sufficient. An audible call is not part of any official protocols, as far as I know.
