Biggest failure with the retractable gear are the limit switches used in the whole cycle of the gears. It is usually the rear gears that have the issue. This however is still a very reliable platform.too bad they are no longer being made.
This is a standard behaviour of all small Cessna landing gears and is doing this by design - since new. I have already commented on the same thing in my other video.
This is due to the pump being connected to several actuators. The most loaded actuators cannot possibly move until the least loaded actuator has either finished its stroke, or become more loaded than the others, then the next least loaded actuator will start to move in the sequence. If the two last actuators are loaded almost the same, then both will move almost together, taking quick turns between each other.

Dobrý den, video mám od mechanika Honzy, jsem rád, že se vám líbí. Jak jste určitě zaznamenal, mám na webu více podobných videí z kontrol funkce podvozku, občas se kolem malých letadel v okamžiku údržby pohybuji a mám možnost podobná videa pořídit, případně mě zásobuje Honza :-). Schválně, jak si video dlouhodobě na webu povede, zatím nejúspěšnější je to s Cessnou 177RG Cardinal, OK-SAP.
Po šesti letech první komentář v češtině. Už jsem si myslel, že si toho tady nikdo nevšimne. To “plandání” je normální, je to konstrukční vlastnost. Ale souhlasím, vypadá to, jako když to mele z posledního :-).

The Oscar Deuce did a job back then for sure. Tough plane too. Those gear doors on the back of the suck and blow were some major drag makers when you cycled the gear.
