Just unboxed a new GoPro Hero7 Black and this is my first attempt, so nothing fancy yet. From APU start at LFT to engine shutdown at IAD, the view is from the left lav window in the rear of the cabin to capture the best engine sounds possible with the built-in mic. Most would prefer video from the flight deck (which I have several in the works, so be patient), but for those of you like me who love all the noise (music to me) and wing mechanics, this is for you.
Engine starts take place in complete early morning pre-dawn darkness, but it soon gets lighter. Added unplanned bonuses were our shadow on approach and parking next to a Pilatus PC-24. Once I learn the GoPro, you can expect more variety of views, ATC and hopefully better sound. The internal mic did okay, but I want those Pratt & Whitney 545C's in stereo.
