Please leave any questions you have below and I will try my best to answer them. I also apologize for the bad audio and shaky camera. It is very difficult to record and show the sim at the same time. EDIT: AN UPDATE SIM TOUR THAT IS MUCH BETTER IS HERE - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-thcYWnApeeo.html
I actually am using that trick for a few and I am planning on adding more. I am also going to create fake screws to put on the panel. When I do that I also have a bunch of decals to make it look more like a real 172P.
Ben, this is a phenomenal simulator! Great work! When you get into a real aircraft you will not require a lot of adaption.. Best wishes on your future flying! Uncle R..
Hi there. Love the sim setup. I am doing something similar with a cessna cockpit layout and since I have now moved to FS2020, I wanted some external gauges software to run similar to yours. You mentioned that these gauges were available to download and that you tweaked the code for them to run with FS2020? Could you give me some more information about doing this and/or provide a link or some instructions to get these to work with FS2020? Keep up the amazing work. Happy simming....
I am actually running The Gauges Factory instruments. They are completely free and designed to work with FSX. If you run FSUIPC 7 however, you can actually get them to work with fs2020. The setup is a little challenging, so sometime in the next few weeks I will make a video explaining it. www.mycockpit.org/forums/content.php?r=340-The-Gauges-Factory If you have any other questions post it here and I will include it in the video.
I was checking out your early days of your sim. Actually, I only use just my 55 inch screen for everything, and I am simple, I just use HoneyComb Yoke $ 250 ish dollars. And I have rudder peddles (forgot the name, lol ) And Throttle quadrant like you do. Both are hooked right up to the same table holding my screen. Real enough for me, I use my mouse for everything I operate. later I may buy an Auto Pilot unit, from somewhere, maybe Amazon, not sure yet. It will go on top of my Honeycomb yoke. That's it. Oh, and I have a great Idea on how you can use a regular Yoke system, and take off the yoke Handle, but leave the pipe in, and hook up your PVC to that, make sure your yoke is Tied down good! And on the PVC Pipe going in your cockpit will hook wires going from yoke box to cockpit yoke handles, and also you can use a Tie Rod assembly to control both yokes on one Yoke box!! Nice Huh? Question: What size TV are you Using for forward View? Thanks, If you need me to draw out my Idea, then I can email you a drawing perhaps. Peace. Terry
Thanks for sharing your experiment, you have a great cockpit. I would like to do similarité one. Could you tell us what is your tv model, what graphics card do you use, the résolution (2k, 4k..) and how choice a tv for fs2020 ? Thanks a lot for the time to Answer to me.
This is pretty cool You know what would make it better is getting two more screens one on each side of you or I'm surprised you don't at least have track IR
Thank you. I actually do now have a window on the left. I am working on a video for it which should be out soon. I can't put one on the right because of structural issues with the door as well as airflow. I will definitely have the windows working as soon as mfs2020 supports it.
I use skyvector.com for flight planning. I also use flt plan go on a tablet for when I am flying. It is similar to foreflight. If you have other questions on how to use/set up I can make a video on it.
@@DjankoDK Sorry about that. I have both this version and a newer one I created over the last few weeks. Here is the link to both ATC printouts flyaceairline.weebly.com/files.html
You didn't. However, I am planning on making an update video as I recently installed a new throttle assembly. In that video, I will make sure to include info on the yokes.
I have recently created a sim update video in which I included a small portion on the linking system. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lh1Xh08NwVw.html
You may have already seen this video but I just rebuilt the roll linkage. In it you can see exactly how the system works. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2w4zJs2iR1Q.html
