hi peter and mary / when I was in Scotland / I was told that pickles on a hamburger at mcdonald's was a no-no / they don't eat pickles or gerkins as they call them over there .. :( I am a pickle girl/ love them / but not in Scotland .. napkins that we know them as napkins on a table w/your meal .. in Scotland they are called nappies but they are diapers over there ...a different world / but it was fun and interesting :) jean taylor / Hagerstown md / get well mary / I keep you both in my prayers.
Wow just watching the start of this series, I can see a drastic weightloss from the first video to this one. probably a couple of pounds but it definitely shows in your beautiful face! I struggle with weight, but myself is weight gain because of my disease it's really hard to walk and bare weight on my left leg/foot. so that sucks. I guess it would suck on both sides, I would imagine. anyways...just wanting to let you know that as a fellow christian, I am praying for you since finding your channel. sending big hugs from south carolina!
+Christy Hutchinson Yea weight is in an interesting thing...My weight was stable for so long...really up until the last year or so. I'm eating the same, but I think it has to do with my body having to work harder to breathe and fight infection...but I shall keep on doing all I can to keep as much weight as possible. We are working on getting an appetite stimulant, but that has it's side effects as well...sticky. Thanks for praying!

I was craving Clawson pickles too! I LOVE them! I actually ate 2 jars in 3 days because I hadn't had them in about 6 months. And Beef Stroganoff I love with lots of sour cream. And Snikerdoodles are my favorite cookie. YUM!

I have a blue flutter it worked for me I also take nebs to I take duo neb pomazine you know the one in the fridge and pomacort I don't have cf I have a muscle weaking disease called muscular dystrophy (MD) there are specific types but they won't label me with one because I'm a girl and its more common in guys because its a male dominated disease I'm 15 I would love if you would reply its seems we. The Frey Life I wanted to say I also have a vest I hate it because one time I was sick doing it with nebs and I coughed up to much mucus and I ended up in the hospital for a week and 3yrs ago I coted I was in the hospital for a month and had to get a trach and vent that I know have for the rest of my life so they do pfts on me too and for me to pass it I have to make the rocket launch it so hard I was just wondering do you have a suction machine? I also love watching ur videos makes me feel not alone even through we have different diseases like you can walk I can't ya know
I know this is an old video but I totally understand what she means about them waking you up there asking if you want tea because I'm near Edinburgh and have had the "pleasure" lol of a stay in that hospital a few times, when they're not asking if you act tea they're taking your blood pressure and temp all the time. It's so boring there because there's no tv or wifi I ended up discharging myself a few days earlier than they wanted me to last time because I was going crazy...well crazier than I already am lol

I grew up with little ice creams like the one you were eating, but ours had wooden sticks and peel off lids sort of like the kind you peel off an individual applesauce. Mom would buy them in a bag at the grocery store.
watching old videos and learning about you two as a new viewer. you all remind me of me and my husband so much. I have ms and my child has a genetic deletion so we understand many of the same topics but also we don't know anything about cf so it is interesting
I think it might be, because they use so many calories just for their breathing muscles, actually. And they lose salt too fast so pickles would be great. I'm making myself hungry now.... ;)
I have lung problems and my lung doctor says no to milk or ice cream. It's makes me cough and cough and cough. I get a lot of mucus with it. I just wonder why you eat ice cream and milk problems.
+princessaz79 There is a difference with the build up in CF patients and your average person getting mucus from dairy. Plus, CF patients have a higher energy requirement, and it's actually suggested to eat certain dairy products for that :)
I've heard her say that she gets out of the habit of wearing it because she's always with Peter when she goes out. But something to consider Mary....if (God forbid) you two are in an accident and both of you are seriously hurt, Peter might not be able to alert medical staff to your conditions. Just a thought out of concern for your wellbeing. :-)
