The elka thing. Is not a rumor. CFMOTO puts elka on the Canada machines or they used to for that matter. So thats where the elka shocks come in yo play folks think that these are elka but they arent.
You’re welcome. Yes it tool me for ever to find out because so many folks were saying these were elka but they arent. They are decent shocks but have the wrong springs on them. You can buy a spring kit cheap and it changes the shock so much. I hope that thing rides better man.
I did some reading, and stole this information from a magazine article. It seems as if Jake is right in his guess about the two springs. A multi-spring setup gives the shock a more progressive spring rate. Your larger “main” spring is your stiffest, and the smaller springs will be progressively lighter. Crossover spacers are the washers between the springs that keep everything from collapsing in on itself.
Some people adjust the seats back, and put them on short stands to give themselves more leg room. I know it can be done. I would guess it would be a bit cramped without at least moving the seat back some.
There's a link in the part 2 video so be sure to check that one out, but to save you the hassle, here's the link to Bandit's website: www.banditutvsuspension.com/product-page/all-cf-moto-z-force-800-trail-series-46
