Reading: Overview of Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS)
The time-weighted return of a portfolio can be approximated using the modified Dietz method and the modified IRR method. In this video, I will illustrate with an example how you can calculate the return using the modified Dietz method.

In the GIPS reading, Reading 35 Practice Problem 4, why is it that when they calculated the time-weighted return they did not consider the external cashflows? I am confused

Thank You so much for this video, clearly explained. I know Level 3 AM question structure is Essays and short answer questions. Does this also apply to Ethics or the Ethics AM Section is multiple choice?

I doubt they will test Ethics in the AM section. GIPS is more likely to be tested in AM since it is also under the Ethics grouping
