It's difficult, even for veteran CFIs, to keep quiet in the aircraft. It gets even more difficult when we see mistakes while trying to act as an evaluator rather than a teacher or coach.
Some of the worst advice one CFI can give to another on this topic is "you'll get a feel for it" but that's how it's often represented. So in this video we'll discuss some better guidelines for CFIs when they're evaluating a client in the traffic pattern.
We'll put specifics to the times and places when a CFI should intervene verbally and potentially physically during the various phases of pattern work, putting a more quantitative spin on things.

As always, you can't learn to fly (or teach) exclusively from a RU-vid video. Pilots and instructors should seek professional instruction in the aircraft they fly and this is not a substitute for that.
