@@edoconnor5528You went from football fan to political commentator very quickly. I’m sure there is a PP posting where people want to hear your opinions.
I was actually shocked at how bad the Bomber's were doing in the early going of the season, considering how good they've been the past few years. But then they turned it around and have proven that whatever happened earlier in the season that brought them loss after loss has now corrected itself, and the Bombers are their old, reliable selves again. GO BOMBERS GO!!!
iirc 3 of the 4 losses were very close? They didn't have Lawler and Olivera was still shaking off a pre-season injury. He looked slow & hesitant to me. When that healed up they started winning & he's possibly the MOP after 4 poor games to start! An interesting season throughout the league, for sure!
Unfortunately, it's was a very lop sided game. Only in the CFL can you witness such spectacular throws and catches from both teams. Bombers are proving that they are the team to win the west. The Elks had a rough start but then played much better in the second half. Still, it was a great game to watch. 🇨🇦
A blowout in the 1st half turning in a laugher until the Elks (formerly the Eskimos) made a contest, but it was way too little, too late. Great job Winnipeg 😊
Give it up for Rod Smith. Play by Play commentator?,, I think is what they're called? Very good and exciting highlights to watch because of his commentating.🏈🏈
Most of the time it is difficult to believe that Rod Smith is even watching the same game that the rest of us are. I was at the game, so maybe he reversed trend last night.
Man the Bombers can do explosive plays! I'll be at Percival Molson for the final confrontation of the reg. season between "nos oiseaux" and Winnipeg! Can't wait!
That's some "Dieter Brock-esque" bomb throwing there! Right on the money too. The return of Lawler really improved all the other receivers, giving them some space as the defenders have to respect Lawler's talents.
As an American, I don't get a lit of CFL news. What happened to Dalton Schien? Did Drew Wolatarsky go somewhere else? I can't remember the last time I heard his name mentioned either. Still, they seemed to have finally figured it out. Now, let's hope they can finally close out a Grey Cup Final.
They are hurt, Schoen (out for season), Wolitarsky (may be back this season), however they have been able to replace them over the course of the season. Ontaria Wilson will be a great receiver! It took awhile though (Lawler has been in and out of the lineup and same with Wheatfall). Collaros really misses Schoen, his favourite target, but it's good for him to target and rely on other receivers.
Wow Edmonton should have saved the trip and just let The Bombers play a local High School team. At least then the Bombers would have gotten a bit of competition.
I honestly thought the Elks were going to be better than this. I also think that doing interviews during gameplay is very amatuer broadcasting, and disruptive to the game. Save that stuff for the filler in between. It's already hard enough to watch with the over saturation commercials.
Offense clicking on all cylinders. Not so much for the defense, but thankfully it didn't matter. Also, too much orange in the crowd. We need to see more BLUE and GOLD!
Terrible call to end the game! He was clearly down (elbow) and the ball was a half-yard outside the end zone line. The final score should have been 55 - 20. Luckily it didn't matter, but again Command blew chunks on that one.
@@5Cats Upon closer review I tend to side with the command centre. The receiver didn’t appear to have possession until he was across the goal line, therefore he could not be down by contact at the one or two yard line. You can’t be down by contact if you haven’t caught the ball yet. The bigger issue is Edmonton trying that play when they should have simply taken a knee. There was nothing to be gained.
The in-game tribute to Jack Jacobs, a Bomber legend, certainly had a little revisionist history. In defence of those that want the descriptor “Indian” dropped, the clowns that started it thought they had landed in India. Back to football discussions, kids.
Thank goodness you are here to correct our 'politically incorrect' thinking. We wouldn't want to experience 'wrong think'. I'm sure you will be back to also help guide our thoughts when there is Armed Forces tribute, or Pink Power for women's cancers.
